Hans Nicolussi Caviglia insists Juventus is always aware they are in the title race

Juventus beats Roma to close on Serie A leader Inter. Pulisic helps Milan win - The San Diego Union-Tribune

Juventus midfielder Hans Nicolussi Caviglia has spoken about expectations on the club as they battle to win another league title. ............

Inter Milan remains the favourites to be champions at the end of this season, and they set down a marker in the title race at the weekend. The Nerazzurri remain one of the best clubs in the continent, which means Juve will truly struggle to catch them at the top.

The Bianconeri are trying their best to stay in the race, and Nicolussi Caviglia admits there is an expectation because winning is in the club’s DNA. ............

“For our cohesion and our DNA. There is a very strong sense of belonging, we have grown up here and it is important to pass it on to new ones. The awareness was there even at the beginning.” ............

Chiesa fit to play against Udinese but there might be a new injury setback

Vlahovic-Lecce2.jpg

Federico Chiesa is poised to make his return for Juventus in the upcoming match against Udinese this weekend following a period of absence due to injury. The Italian international has faced challenges with various injuries recently, and concerns arose after the game against Inter Milan, with reports suggesting another setback. ............

Chiesa has quickly recovered from the knock sustained against Inter Milan, requiring only two days to regain fitness.

In contrast, concerns now surround Dusan Vlahovic’s availability for the upcoming match, as he is currently undergoing personalised training. This development strongly suggests that Vlahovic encountered a physical issue during the match against Inter Milan, prompting Juventus to closely monitor his fitness in the coming days. ............

Former Juventus star expects them to play with anger against Udinese

Juve hit Udinese for three to open season in style - Juventus

Juventus is poised to face Udinese in their upcoming fixture, with expectations high for a return to winning form for the Bianconeri.

Following a disappointing loss to Inter Milan in their previous match, Max Allegri’s side suffered a setback in their pursuit of the Serie A title. Dropping five points in their last two league games underscores the importance of securing a victory against Udinese. ............

Former Juventus player Giuliano Giannichedda anticipates a determined performance from Juventus, fueled by a desire to rectify their recent defeat to Inter Milan. As such, Juventus is expected to approach the match against Udinese with determination and a sense of urgency, aiming to secure a crucial victory and regain momentum in their pursuit of Serie A success. ............

“Juve will be angry at the defeat suffered against Inter, while Udinese will arrive in Turin with the need to score points to lift their ranking, but it won’t be easy, because I expect Juve to be focused and eager to resume their path.” ............

Luigi Delneri warns Udinese about giving Juventus too many chances

Delneri.jpg

Former Juventus manager Luigi Delneri has imparted some guidance to Udinese in anticipation of their upcoming encounter against the Bianconeri this weekend.

Following a recent downturn in performance over their last two matches, Juventus finds themselves in need of a return to winning ways. ............

For Juventus, the imperative to avoid dropping points in three consecutive games underscores the significance of this fixture as a must-win encounter under the stewardship of Max Allegri.

In anticipation of the impending clash, Delneri has offered counsel to Udinese on the pitfalls they must sidestep when confronting a determined Juventus side. ............

“The Friulians will have to remain compact and try to exploit every opportunity, but beware of waiting for Juve immediately behind their own area.

“Udinese will have to be very determined not to concede anything to a team that will be angry after the defeat against Inter. The result can depend on a thousand elements, including corner kicks and in general on dead balls which Juve exploits very well.” ............

Pundit insists there are still enough games for Juventus to win the league

scudetto2.jpg

Juventus’ loss to Inter Milan in their last game has led many to discount their chances in the Serie A title race, yet such dismissal may not be entirely warranted.

The Bianconeri have diligently strived to rival Inter Milan for the Serie A title, despite possessing fewer resources than the Nerazzurri.

Both clubs stand as premier contenders in the league, and Juventus potentially committed a decisive error by faltering against Empoli in the preceding match week. ............

In discussions about the title race, pundit Nando Orsi asserts that there remains ample opportunity for Juventus to reassert themselves in contention. ............

“The concept at Juve has always been not to give up. They are now four points behind the top and Inter also have a game in hand, but in my opinion there is time to recover. The draw against Empoli increased the gap, but there are fifteen days left of the championship and the race is long. Obviously now the Bianconeri have to collect a series of consecutive successes, the championship question remains open, even if complicated.

“There are significant past cases. Two seasons ago Inter had a consistent lead over Milan (7/8 points), they made a couple of mistakes in their matches allowing the Rossoneri to recover and ultimately win the tricolour.” ............

Preview: Juventus vs. Udinese - prediction, team news, lineups

Juventus vs Udinese Prediction and Betting Tips

After their title hopes took a bitter blow in last week's Derby d'Italia, Juventus will aim to start another unbeaten run on Monday, when they host Udinese at the Allianz Stadium.

Juve return to Turin following defeat to Scudetto rivals Inter Milan, while the Friulani - Serie A's draw specialists - were held goalless by Monza.

Match preview

Having dropped points for the first time this year in a 1-1 home draw with Empoli, Juventus saw their seven-match winning streak ended at the end of January - and their first February fixture then brought just a second Serie A defeat of the season. ............

Head coach Max Allegri - who will now join Marcello Lippi on 405 games in charge of Juventus, joint-second on the all-time list behind Giovanni Trapattoni (596) - has been able to prioritise Serie A this season, due to his club's European ban. ............

Team News

After notching five goals in his last four games, Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic may be forced to miss Monday's game with a thigh problem, potentially joining Mattia De SciglioMoise Kean and back-up goalkeeper Mattia Perin on the sidelines.

As defensive mainstay Danilo must serve a suspension, his fellow Brazilian Alex Sandro should come into the hosts' back three, in the other likely change to Max Allegri's starting XI.

With Vlahovic in doubt, Arkadiusz Milik and Federico Chiesa will vie for promotion from the bench. The latter scored in both of Juve's last two meetings with Udinese but has not started for seven Serie A matches because of fitness issues and the emergence of Turkish teenager Kenan Yildiz.

Meanwhile, Udinese captain Roberto Pereyra misses the trip to his former club due to a one-match ban for accumulated bookings. ............

Juventus possible starting lineup:
Szczesny; Gatti, Bremer, Sandro; Cambiaso, McKennie, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Yildiz, Milik

Udinese possible starting lineup:
Okoye; Perez, Giannetti, Kristensen; Ferreira, Lovric, Walace, Samardzic, Zemura; Thauvin; Lucca

We say: Juventus 2-0 Udinese

The last league draw between these clubs in Turin dates back to March 1990, and despite the visitors' propensity for ending games level this season, that wait for a stalemate will go on. With a routine win on Monday, Max Allegri will become the first coach to reach 1000 points in Serie A.

Former Juventus striker reckons their chance to win the title is gone

Inter win title clash with Juve to move four points clear - SportsDesk

Former Juventus striker Michele Padovano is of the firm belief that the Bianconeri have squandered their opportunity to clinch the Serie A title this season, owing to their recent string of poor results.

Juventus has relinquished points in fixtures against Empoli and Inter Milan, with the latter securing a pivotal victory to surge four points clear at the summit of the Serie A table.

While Juventus harbours aspirations of staging a comeback in the title race, such hopes hinge on Inter Milan faltering and dropping points in subsequent matches. ............

“Juventus has shown that they are not ready to win and compete at certain levels. I would have expected a more proactive team, which would take control of the game and create, but instead, they suffered the Nerazzurri’s manoeuvre and if it had ended 3- 0 there would have been nothing to say. The only real opportunity fell at the feet of Vlahovic, who badly wasted control. The championship remains very dignified, but the match at San Siro could certainly have been approached in a different way.” ............

Probable Juventus lineup for Udinese match – Allegri revamps attack

Milik Juve: sarà riscatto in estate? La dirigenza ha questo pensiero

On Monday night, Juventus will host Udinese at the Allianz Stadium in the closing curtain of Serie A Round 24.

The Bianconeri only managed to collect a single point from their last two outings, settling for a home draw against Empoli before suffering a major Scudetto blow by succumbing to defeat at the hands of Inter last weekend. ............

Federico Gatti and Gleison Bremer will maintain their spots in the three-man backline, while Alex Sandro replaces his compatriot Danilo who will be serving a one-match ban after collecting his fifth yellow card of the season. ............

Allegri will maintain his midfield, with Manuel Locatelli playing in between Adrien Rabiot and Weston McKennie.

Andrea Cambiaso should start on the right flank while Filip Kostic is the favorite to claim the left wingback role. ............

Finally, Arkadiusz Milik returns from suspension to replace the injured Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian will likely miss the match altogether.

Federico Chiesa will start, thus dropping Kenan Yildiz to the bench.

Juventus Probable XI (3-5-2): Szczesny; Gatti, Bremer, Alex Sandro (Rugani); Cambiaso, McKennie, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic (Iling-Junior); Milik, Chiesa

Allegri: Juventus must get back to winning ways

Coach’s comments ahead of rare Monday night game

Inter v Juventus - Serie A

Juventus go into their Monday night fixture against Udinese sitting seven points off league leaders Inter Milan, and facing the pressure of seeing that lead extended even more should they slip up even slightly.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference, coach Massimiliano Allegri insisted that the loss in the Derby D’Italia last weekend wasn’t a season-breaker in any sense.

“We must try to get back to winning ways tomorrow against a team that in terms of quality and performance does not deserve to be in its current position. Udinese are a physical side with players like Lorenzo Lucca, Florian Thauvin and Lazar Samardzic who provide technique and a good shot on target.

“Look, it is no secret that Inter were the favourites for the Scudetto. We picked up 53 points, we must get back to winning ways tomorrow and break away from fifth place. Inter are doing extraordinary things, I think they won all seven competitive games in 2024. We just have to keep taking it one step at a time.” ............

“Their win ought to make us even more motivated to get back to minus four. You can lose a head-to-head, it happens, and one match should not make us throw away all the good work done in these months. If anything, we learned a great deal from that game.

“At this moment, the strongest team is at the top of the table. I’ve said from the start Inter were the favourites and they will be to the end. We just have to focus on our own journey and getting back on track after one point from two games.” ............

“Vlahovic has nothing major, it is just a strained adductor, but he ought to be available next week. We’ll bring Cerri in from the Next Gen side, tomorrow I will choose between Federico Chiesa and Kenan Yildiz. Federico had injury problems last year, a few more setbacks this season, but he is an important player for Juventus and we expect a lot from him.” ............

Tomorrow will mark Allegri’s 405th match in charge of Juventus, equaling the mark of legendary manager Marcello Lippi.

“We’ll try to end the season well first, I have another year on my contract. In our job, we always depend on the results that we achieve. I am satisfied to match someone like Lippi who made history with Italian football and with Juventus, especially as I am fond of him personally. However, we have a game to win and the fact it is the 405th is irrelevant.”

Inept Juventus embarrassingly lose at home to Udinese

juve-udinese.jpg

Any chance Juventus had of winning the Scudetto this season has surely been extinguished this evening following an embarrassing home loss to relegation-threatened Udinese.

There are no excuses whatsoever; the referee cannot be blamed, bad luck cannot be blamed. What can be blamed are the players and their sorry performances.

It would be easy to single out certain individuals, but the problem is that almost every player in a Juve shirt was woeful. The whole team was devoid of ideas and creativity. They barely threatened the Udinese goal, and if the game went on for another 24 hours, Juve would still not have scored.

Max Allegri has to take his share of the blame as well. He selected this lineup, deployed the tactics and strategy, and the truth is, he was found wanting. ............

Udinese did not play out of their skins; they did not have to. They got their goal and then defended well. They were organized and disciplined, not something that can be attributed to the Juventus midfield and forward line.

There is now going to have to be some deep soul-searching at the club. Is Allegri the man for the job? Are certain players fit to wear the jersey, and are some players being overhyped?

Juventus Player Ratings vs Udinese: Chiesa Fails to Impress

Player Ratings: Juventus 0-1 Udinese, Alex Sandro's nightmare, Chiesa lacks confidence - Football Italia

 ............

Juventus (3-5-2)

Wojciech Szczesny – 6

The former Arsenal man was faultless on the goal, and besides picking up the ball from his net, he spent the evening as a mere spectator.

Federico Gatti – 6

The former Frosinone man pushed forward and even tested Maduka Okaye with a powerful drive when Juventus were searching for an equalizer.

Gleison Bremer – 6.5

The Brazilian didn’t deserve to wind up on the losing side. Won his duel against the gigantic Lorenzo Lucca and had to take one for the team by stopping a counter-attack which earned him a suspension for the next match against Verona.

Alex Sandro – 4.5

The veteran replaced his suspended compatriot Danilo but ended up being the main culprit on the goal. His poor clearance inadvertently offered the goal to Gianetti on a silver plate. Tried to atone himself with a cross to Milik, but the latter couldn’t put it in the net.

Timothy Weah – 5

 ............

Weston McKennie – 6

 ............

Manuel Locatelli – 6

The Euro 2020 winner did well to shield the backline but his ball distribution was hit and miss.

Adrien Rabiot – 6

 ............

Andrea Cambiaso – 6.5

On another night, the Italian wingback could have grabbed himself a couple of assists. Set up Milik and Yildiz brilliantly and was the main source of creativity for Juventus.

Arkadiusz Milik – 5

 ............

Federico Chiesa – 5

The former Fiorentina star simply tried too hard to force the action, but the packed-up opposition dealt easily with his telegraphed runs and dribbles. Couldn’t guide Juventus towards victory.

Substitutes

Kenan Yildiz – 5

The teenager entered the pitch in the second half to a big roar from the crowd, but ultimately failed to make an impression. Constantly gave the ball away, at times in dangerous positions.

Hans Nicolussi Caviglia – 5.5

 ............

Samuel Iling-Junior – 5.5

 ............

Leonardo Cerri – N/A

It was not the Serie A debut the young striker was hoping for.

Juventus 0 - Udinese 1: Initial reaction and random observations

Well, that was not good whatsoever.

FBL-ITA-SERIEA-JUVENTUS-UDINESE

Remember when Juventus played against a bunch of struggling, potential relegation battlers and stormed right through them with plenty of room to spare?

Yeah, that was cool.

Not as cool? What Juventus did Monday night against another one of those potential relegation battlers.

In fact, it was just about the exact opposite of what Juve did for pretty much all of January ............

Juventus didn’t just lose 1-0 to a Udinese side that entered the night in the relegation zone. They laid an absolute egg, and the performance — especially that in the second half — was deserved of the boos they got from the Allianz Stadium as the players walked off the field. Udinese’s only goal — their only shot on target the entire game! — came via Alex Sandro’s latest moment of defending masterclass, with a failed clearance giving Lautaro Giannetti carte blanche at a loose ball in the 6-yard box to give his team the lead. Juventus pushed forward with numbers plenty of times after, but couldn’t muster an answer. It didn’t matter if it was Maduka Okoye making a great save or Juve simply failing to put anything on target, this was a night to forget for Max Allegri’s squad on a night in which their manager celebrated his 405th appearance on the Bianconeri bench.

Instead, we’re now sitting at a moment in which Juventus are far from the team we saw for pretty much all of January until the draw against Empoli happened. And with that fixture, Juve have now dropped points in three straight games, including losses in their last two. They’ve collected one point out a possible nine in their last three games. Inter Milan’s lead atop the Serie A table is now seven points and they still have a game in hand to play. AC Milan are now a point behind Juventus in third. ............

After a first half in which Juventus were incredibly wasteful both before Udinese took the lead and after it, nothing was more evident of that “What the hell happened?” notion than what Allegri’s squad did in the second half.

Juventus had 75% of the possession after the break. They managed four shots — that’s the same amount that Udinese, a team that rarely ventured forward from the 46th minute on, recorded in the second half.

What is that saying about it’s not always about the possession but what you do with it? ............

Outside of the very nice ball over the top from Andrea Cambiaso to Kenan Yildiz, I honestly can’t remember much of anything that Juventus did right in the second half as they attempted to find an equalizer. It was almost like the “plan” was to simply let Federico Chiesa try and do something cool to rescue them or just have somebody get out wide and hope that their cross into the penalty area.

That clearly didn’t work because Juventus finished with as many shots on target after the break as all of us watching did. And when you’re trying to find some sort of offense to get back into the game, actually putting something on target is a pretty good place to start. ............

RANDOM THOUGHTS AND OBSERVATIONS

  • Hey, it’s Alex Sandro in the starting lineup! That’ll put me in a good mood.
  • Well, it turned out Juventus didn’t help my mood. Nope, not one bit.
  • With that loss, it now means all 20 Serie A teams have suffered a loss at home. We’re no longer the best at something, everybody. Oh well. Maybe the Coppa Italia can have some magic left come April.
  • I hope that Feb. 12, 2024, is the last game in which Alex Sandro starts a game for Juventus. The thing is, I know it won’t be, so I’m not going to get my hopes up.
  • I guess I can be happy with Allegri having the wherewithal to change to a 4-3-3 out of halftime to try and get something going. Clearly, the something never really got going. ............
  • The counting stats and stat-based formulas and ratings say Adrien Rabiot had a good game. I disagree!
  • Those same formulas say that Manuel Locatelli had a good game. I disagree! ............
  • I, personally, like Bremer a lot and would love Juventus to give him another contract extension that has him in Turin for, let’s say, the next 10 years.
  • This was a tough night for Chiesa mainly because he got in a mode that he needed to save the Juventus attack — which, honestly, was basically the case — and went a little too much hero ball when he had the ball at his feet. There were too many cases of trying dribble past two or three guys. There were times in which he simply held onto the ball too long. And, let’s face it, he just didn’t play well overall and the visible frustration spoke for itself. ............
  • Udinese finished with one shot on goal against Juventus and won. That’s just wild to me.
  • Is there really all that much that I need to say about this performance? No, it was bad, and I’m going to leave it there because I’m honestly sitting here wondering what else to type out and say to all of you. So I will just leave it with this ...
  • In conclusion: Thank you, Juventus, for not helping improve my horrible mood one bit. For that, I can count on you to continue doing such the last couple of years.

Allegri: Juventus’ target remains Champions League qualification

Coach's comments as Juve fall further behind runaway leaders Inter after home loss to Udinese

Juventus v Udinese Calcio - Serie A TIM

Juventus' short-lived title challenge hit another major obstacle as the Bianconeri faltered to their first home defeat of the season losing 1-0 to Udinese. After a loss to Inter Milan last weekend, Juve's misfiring attack were unable to find the back of the net but coach Massimiliano Allegri chose to remain pragmatic.

“It’s a tricky moment because we earned one point in three games. We have an important target, which is the Champions League. We must return to winning to secure a Champions League placement.

“The last 15 days were not so nice, we were reduced to ten men against Empoli two weeks ago. Tonight, Udinese had just one shot on target while we had three or four chances in the first half. We should not underestimate what we’ve done until now. The lads have done an extraordinary job and it’s through these moments that we grow up, so we must continue to work."

Where did it go wrong tonight for his side?

“I think the first half was good technically but when we have a chance, we must score.

“We conceded from a set piece. We didn’t have enough players inside the box.” ............

“Having the ambition to stay close to Inter gave us motivation, but as I’ve always said, Inter are having an extraordinary season, so they deserve credit.

“They started their project with Antonio Conte many years ago, so it’s normal that they are favourite. Juventus began on a different path two years ago; our target is to return to the Champions League even if we last season got there.

“Simone [Inzaghi] is doing extraordinary work, but I am not crazy when I say certain things. There are different levels. In my first five years at Juventus, we had the best team and it was normal to win. Even if victories are always extraordinary, that was the norm. The same goes for Inter now. Having earned 60 points with a game in hand, means they have a great pace, so Simone and his staff deserve praise.

“I’ve always said Milan would have returned in the race. What we need to do now is work hard. I am happy with what the players have done until now. We have earned 52 points but we must get as many now." ............

“Of course, young players need time to grow. It’s about finding balance and it’s normal. This team has excellent players. We could have done more against Inter, but we faced an extraordinary team. We must do something more because a Champions League placement is not granted yet and this moment can become tricky. Right now, we should not look at the table but earn the points we’ll need for the Champions League. We have more points than we expected to have at this point at the start of the season. We must be realistic in life. ............

Juventus wingback Cambiaso admits “lack of determination” in Udinese defeat

cambiaso.jpg

Juventus wingback Andrea Cambiaso tried to understand what went wrong for his team against Udinese on Monday night.

The Bianconeri put up what could well be their poorest display of the season, as they failed to score a single goal against their Zebrette at home.

Max Allegri’s men have now suffered their second straight defeat, leaving their Scudetto hopes in tatters.

For his part, Cambiaso was arguably the best out of an abysmal bunch. ............

“There was a lack of determination and luck.” said the former Genoa man in his post-match interview.

“They closed us down well, we were slow to the ball. We have our own path to create, continuing as we have done so far.

However, a point in three games is not enough. It is a moment of decline, but we have to remain focused and work hard, with our heads held high, with confidence. ............

The Bianconeri remain second in the table, but Milan are sitting only one point behind.

Juve’s next fixture is an away encounter against Hellas Verona on Saturday evening.

Arrigo Sacchi weighs in on Juventus mental collapse: “They felt inferior to Inter”

La pagelle di Juventus-Udinese: Chiesa impalpabile, Samardzic pericolo costante - la Repubblica

Legendary Italian coach Arrigo Sacchi explains the Juventus meltdown against Udinese from a psychological standpoint.

The Bianconeri lost a direct Scudetto showdown against Inter last weekend at the Giuseppe Meazza by one goal to nil.

But while that result was hardly shocking, few expected Max Allegri’s’ men to suffer a defeat at home at the hands of Udinese.

Juventus looked short of ideas as they failed to reply to Lautaro Gianetti’s opener. Udinese managed to maintain their slim lead until the final whistle.

For his part, Sacchi believes that Juve’s two recent defeats are intertwined with one another. ............

“Did I expect Juve’s collapse? If I say yes, I’m being presumptuous,” said the former Italy and Milan coach in an interview.

“But I have to admit that the defeat against Udinese, in my opinion, is the result of the defeat at San Siro against Inter a week earlier. So, something could be felt in the air.

“At San Siro, Allegri’s boys gave their all and understood that they were inferior to Inter.

“These are matches that leave their mark on you, both physically and morally. Once you understand that winning the Scudetto is unlikely, they perhaps let their guard down a little.

“Furthermore, Juve have a very young team with little experience. They don’t have leaders. This is a factor that takes its toll in the long run. ............

Boost for Juventus as Dusan Vlahovic returns to training ahead of Verona match

Vlahovic-Lecce2.jpg

Juventus received an important boost on Tuesday morning with Dusan Vlahovic rejoining the team’s training at Continassa.

The Serbian was recognized as the best Serie A player in January after scoring six goals during the first month of the season.

However, his February started on a low note, with a disappointing outing against Inter in the Derby d’Italia before sustaining a muscular injury.

The 24-year-old could only watch from the stands on Monday night as his teammates succumbed to an unexpected defeat at the hands of Udinese. ............

Vlahovic also took part in the session, partially training with the group.

Nevertheless, the source expects the bomber to return to full throttle starting Wednesday morning. This would be a necessary step if he aims to recover in time for the weekend’s meeting against Hellas Verona. ............

Despite missing several matches due to various injury problems, Vlahovic remains second in the Capacannoniere stands with 12 goals to his name.

He’ll be looking to overcome his most recent knock and spearhead the club’s charge as they search for a compulsory victory in Verona.

Hellas Verona vs Juventus: Preview

Watch Hellas Verona vs. Juventus Online: Live Stream, Start Time | 2/17/2024

Juventus travel to the Stadio Bentegodi to face Hellas Verona on Serie A Matchday 25, and both teams will be eager to rediscover that winning feeling again.

The Bianconeri are in second place with 53 points, but they are seven points behind Inter, who have a game in hand. La Vecchia Signora have lost their last two matches and they have not won since they won 3-0 against Lecce on Matchday 21.

Meanwhile, the Gialloblu are 18th with 19 points, but they are just one point away from safety. They held Monza to a scoreless draw in their previous match, but they have not won in their last four Serie A games.

After their surprising 1-0 defeat to UdineseJuventus cannot afford to be complacent against Hellas Verona. Dropping more points will hinder any hope of them winning the scudetto, and the Gialloblu need points, so they can drag Sassuolo into the relegation zone. On paper, it may seem one sided, but both sides have a lot at stake in this fixture.

Hellas Verona vs Juventus: Predicted line-ups

Juventus will miss Moise Kean and Mattia Perin due to injuries while Dusan Vlahovic is not expected to return after missing out on the defeat against Udinese. If the Serbian striker does feature, he would be one yellow card away from suspension, and Gleison Bremer is currently suspended. ............

This match will unlikely be one in which the two teams will cancel each other out because of the systems used and not only the quality the players on the pitch. Gialloblu coach Marco Baroni will implement a 4-2-3-1 formation, and he is likely to bring Tomas Suslov back into the starting line-up after he was suspended against Monza.

His Bianconeri counterpart Massimiliano Allegri will stick with his preferred 3-5-2 formation. He will be able to bring Danilo back into the defence after he was suspended and Arkadiusz Milik will probably start in attack despite his disappointing performance against Udinese.

Hellas Verona predicted XI vs Juventus (4-2-3-1): Montipo; Tchatchoua, Dawidowicz, Coppola, Cabal; Serdar, Duda; Folorunsho, Suslov, Lazovic; Swiderski

Juventus predicted XI vs Hellas Verona (3-5-2): Szczesny; Gatti, Rugani, Danilo; Cambiaso, McKennie, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Milik, Chiesa

Hellas Verona vs Juventus: When does the Serie A fixture start?

Kick-off in the Serie A Matchday 25 fixture of Hellas Verona vs Juventus is set for 18:00 CET, local time in Italy, on Saturday, February 17.............

Verona manager expects Juventus to be on their best form tomorrow

Wasteful Juve grab late win against Verona to top Serie A | Reuters

Verona manager Marco Baroni is well aware that Juventus will be determined to secure all three points when the two teams meet in Serie A tomorrow. Juventus is currently facing a challenging period with three consecutive games without a win, making the upcoming match against Verona crucial for them to regain momentum. ............

Ahead of the match, their gaffer, Baroni, said:

“These teams, when they have already made mistakes, then know how to find pride and unity, we know that tomorrow the best Juve will be there. It’s a great opportunity, everyone would like to play matches like this.” .............

Allegri tasks his players to pay more attention to detail against Verona

Conferenza stampa ALLEGRI pre Verona-Juve: "Se mi piacerebbe affrontare Antonio Conte? I dettagli.." - YouTube

Winning against Hellas Verona is not negotiable for Juventus this weekend, and Max Allegri knows it as he prepares his team for the fixture.

Juve’s bubble bust in their game against Empoli, and they have since gone on a three-game winless run, losing the last two.

This has jeopardised their chances of winning the league, but not winning the next game could be the start of something worse. ............

Max Allegri was discussing his team’s struggles in recent games and revealed they just need to pay attention to detail on the pitch to get back to winning ways.

“We will continue to play like this, three negative results are not going to change what we have done so far. THE tactical revolution of 2017 was in a different context, now there is no need to change. We paid in the details, conceding goals after the ball was inactive or starting again” .............

Journalist says Juventus should now focus on fighting for a top-four finish

champions-league.jpg

Finishing inside the top four no longer feels like a good prize to Juventus’ supporters after watching their team challenge Inter Milan for the league title for several weeks.

Juve impressively maintained their challenge for several weeks before they hit a poor run of form in the last few weeks and they have now been urged to forget about winning the league. ............

While looking up, Juve must also consider those behind them as just a point separates them from AC Milan in the standings.

This is why they have to start winning again and journalist Fabio Tavelli insists now is the time for them to work hard and secure a top-four finish.

“When you are second you have to try to look at the one above and not the one below, but the ranking says that Juventus have lost three points on Milan and must look at fourth place and no longer first. Championship? It could only be reopened if Inter says to give it away but frankly it seems impossible to me, so I’d say it’s finished.” .............
