Juventus, Wojciech Szczesny reach agreement on contract termination After a summer of wondering if Juve can sell their former starting goalkeeper, the end result of a limited market is upon us. Once the rumors started that Juventus were thinking of making the summer of 2024 the summer of change in goal (and then basically all over the roster), one of the biggest questions became how quickly could they shed Wojciech Szczesny’s big salary. As one of the highest paid players at the club, it wasn’t going to be easy even with there reportedly being interest from Saudi Arabia and a big-time offer coming his way from the Saudi Pro League. But once that option disappeared, the salary he earned was going to be a sticking point for any potential new club to try and take on. That’s why it’s understandable we’ve reached this point. Juventus and Szczesny’s camp have met and reached an agreement on a contract termination that will see the 34-year-old Pole become a free agent. Szczesny, who was entering the final year of his current contract at Juve with a net salary of €6.5 million, has been part of the starting lineup’s worth of players who had been informed by the club that they weren’t in new manager Thiago Motta’s plans and had seen rumors of potential destinations really slow down over the last month or so. ............ It makes sense for a guy like Szczesny who has said in the not-so-distant past, ““If the club that has given you so much needs to terminate the contract and needs your help, you should be able to help it.” ............ So now we see whether Szczesny will try and sign on with another club or with his 35th birthday coming in the spring, if he will call it a career at the club level just like he’s done with the Poland national team. ............ AC Milan eyes a surprise move for experienced Juventus star AC Milan has shown interest in Juventus striker Arkadiusz Milik as the Polish forward recovers from an injury. Milik has been sidelined since suffering an injury while playing for Poland at Euro 2024. Despite being one of the first-team players Juventus has deemed surplus to requirements, the club is now reconsidering his status. This change comes after the sale of Moise Kean and their inability to secure a new striker in recent weeks. However, this doesn’t mean Milik is off the market. Juventus is willing to sell him if the right offer comes along. AC Milan is particularly interested, as they seek a backup striker for Álvaro Morata. ............ Purtroppo ci sono poche possibilitá finanziarie se non vendiamo qualcuno degli esuberi. Stiamo chiedendo giocatori in prestito a destra e a manca.
