Caressa insists: “Allegri’s fate at Juventus is sealed regardless of Coppa Italia final” Italian journalist Fabio Caressa believes the writing is already on the wall for Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri. ............ “Even if there is no official statement yet, Allegri’s fate is sealed, regardless of the Coppa Italia final,” said Caressa. ............ “It’s a choice that Juve has probably made for some time now even if nothing has been officially communicated to the coach yet. It will happen at the end of the season. ............ “It is known that Thiago Motta is close to Juventus, there may have been talks. They cannot sign the contract now but there is an agreement in principle. “However, Motta has not yet officially communicated anything to Bologna. The Rossoblu are convinced that Thiago will eventually leave even if they’re still hoping he changes his mind.” Read more -> https://www.juvefc.com/caressa-insists-allegri-fate-at-juventus-is-sealed-regardless-of-coppa-italia-final/

Juventus sweating over Kenan Yildiz condition – Danilo & Sandro towards recovery Juventus teenager Kenan Yildiz sustained an injury scare leaving his availability for the Coppa Italia final in great doubt. The squad resumed training straight away on Monday despite playing on Sunday evening against Salernitana in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw. ............ However, Yildiz had to skip Monday’s training session altogether due to a shoulder knock that he received during yesterday’s match. The 18-year-old’s condition will be assessed tomorrow, as the club hopes that he manages to shake it off in time ahead of the trip to Rome. On the other hand, there are positive updates concerning the conditions of club captain Danilo and his compatriot Alex Sandro. ............ On another note, Juventus will be without Manuel Locatelli who will miss the clash due to a yellow-card suspension. Juventus Secure Champions League Berth But Nobody Is Impressed Juventus mathematically secured a place in the UEFA Champions League for next season, but once again left everyone – including their own supporters – unimpressed at what they had witnessed. Playing at home against a Salernitana side who sat rock bottom of Serie A, the Bianconeri should have been able to deliver a comfortable result, particularly given the subpar nature of the visitors. Indeed, the side from Salerno – who had seen their relegation to Serie B confirmed two weeks earlier – had gone 17 games without a win, and had recorded just two victories across the entire campaign. Yet despite having not won a game since December 30, they jumped out to a 1-0 lead after just 27 minutes of action in Turin and even though Juve would grab a 91st minute equaliser, it was not a convincing result in any way. ............ Atalanta’s win over AS Roma later on Sunday means that the capital club now cannot catch Juve in the race for Champions League places, but the Italian press were distinctly unimpressed by the manner in which the Old Lady has qualified for UEFA’s elite competition. ............ Allegri hints at a debut for Tiago Djalo against Salernitana Max Allegri has hinted that he could give some minutes to Tiago Djalo when Juventus faces Salernitana this weekend. The men in black and white will face the Salerno side in one of their most crucial fixtures between now and the end of the season. ............ However, Djalo has still not made his debut for the club as Juventus tries its best to secure qualification for the next Champions League as soon as possible. With just four defenders available to him this weekend, Allegri has hinted that the Portuguese defender might get some playing time. He said: “At the moment, the most important is Salernitana. Then the others fall. Djalò is better. He could also play. With Danilo and Alex Sandro out, I have 4 defenders, 3 will play. I’ll have to evaluate tomorrow.” ............ Juventus vs Salernitana: Preview and Prediction Juventus are angling for the win that will confirm their UEFA Champions League qualification as they face an already-relegated Salernitana side. There are strong rumours linking Massimiliano Allegri with an exit after how the season has panned out, but the Italian tactician could still bow out with silverware. Juventus will be in the Coppa Italia Final next week, but before that, they can confirm their qualification for next season’s Champions League when they host Salernitana on Sunday. All they need is a win on Sunday over bottom-placed Salernitana, although Juventus have huffed and puffed and managed draws over the last four games. Once seen as an able challenger to Inter Milan for the Serie A title, the dramatic fall from grace in that particular race has raised many questions about their future. With a win over Salernitana, Juventus will book their place in the premier European competition, as they are still looking over their shoulders with a few teams still angling for their place on the table. The quest for finishing second could still be mildly on, especially if AC Milan continue to drop points in their remaining games. ............ Team News & Tactics Juventus Juventus are missing a few key personnel, with Alex Sandro, Kenan Yildiz, and Mattia De Sciglio out of action ahead of the clash on Sunday. Massimiliano Allegri will also miss key defender Danilo for this contest, while Timothy Weah is suspended. Daniele Rugani should comfortably replace Danilo on the left side of the back three, with Gleison Bremer and Federico Gatti holding on to their spots. Andrea Cambiaso and Filip Kostic are best placed for the wing-back roles, meaning Allegri will make only that one alteration at the back with Danilo. Manuel Locatelli will continue to sit at the base of this midfield, with Adrien Rabiot and Weston McKennie on either side of the Italian. Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic will continue to lead the line, with the latter’s goal helping Juventus win in the reverse fixture against Salernitana. Probable Lineup (3-5-2): Szczesny; Gatti, Bremer, Rugani; Cambiaso, McKennie, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Vlahovic, Chiesa Salernitana ............ Probable Lineup (3-4-2-1): Costil; Pierozzi, Fazio, Pirola; Sambia, Coulibaly, Basic, Sfait; Vignato, Tchaouna; Ikwuemesi Key Stats Juventus have drawn their last four matches in Serie A. Juventus scored at least two goals in all of their last six matches against Salernitana. A win would secure Champions League qualification for Juventus. Salernitana have failed to win their last 17 matches in Serie A. Salernitana are already relegated from Serie A. Player to Watch Dusan Vlahovic The striker has many things to prove at Juventus, and the summer window may see a change in the scenario for both the club and the player. The Serb has been prolific this season, but not the standards many have come to expect from him, as the bar has been set high by the likes of Lautaro Martinez. The striker still has a slight chance to improve his goalscoring numbers with three games left, although there are doubts about whether he can catch Martinez, who has 24. However, a top draw performance against already relegated Salernitana could do his numbers some good and could at least hope to finish very close to the Argentine. Prediction Juventus 2-0 Salernitana Salernitana only have pride to play for in the remaining fixtures of the Serie A season, and while they will play with the handbrakes off, they will find it challenging going against the Turin giants. Juventus will likely look to break away with a good lead in this game, with the likes of Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic likely to have a good outing to get their numbers up. However, their pragmatic style may continue here, meaning fans may not see goals galore, with Juventus expected to keep a clean sheet in this win. Juventus vs. Salernitana match preview Will Sunday be the day when Juventus finally wrap up their spot in next season’s Champions League? We sure as hell hope so! I know it’s incredibly difficult to do what I am about to ask, but just go ahead and forget Juventus’ form over the last 3 1⁄2 months for a minute or two. Once you do that, I want you to consider this scenario and then let me know what you think about it: If Juventus are in need of one win and one win only that will get them, officially, into the Champions League next season, who would you prefer them to line up against in Serie A? Would you prefer somebody that’s actually good like a surging Atalanta side or Thiago Motta’s Bologna that is now ahead of Juventus in the standings? ORRRRRR ... would you prefer the last place team in the league, Salernitana? You know, the team — with three games to go in the 2023-24 season — that already has already been relegated and has recorded a worse goal differential than Sampdoria, who finished at the bottom of the league table a year ago. I think I know which direction I would go. I’m guessing you would do the same. ............ It doesn’t matter if Salernitana has allowed a league-high 75 goals this season. It doesn’t matter if they haven’t won a game in the 2024 calendar year. (And you thought Juve was having a bad 2024!) It’s just one of those stretches where you can’t get your expectations up off the floor no matter who Juventus are facing on a certain day. But if Juventus can’t get one win against this very, very bad Salernitana squad to clinch a spot in the Champions League, then I don’t even know what to think about this season. Juve may be playing like a relegation-threatened side over the last three months, but Salernitana has been even worse. Let’s just hope that pays off when Juve need just one more stinkin’ win. TEAM NEWS Kenan Yildiz is still working his way back from gastroenteritis, which caused him to miss the draw with Roma and put a major damper on his 19th birthday weekend. Allegri said Yildiz is still not 100% and his status still seems to be up in the air as to whether he will be available to face Salernitana. Another player who Allegri said isn’t 100%? Federico Chiesa, who could very well get a bit of a rest with the Coppa Italia final set for next Wednesday. Allegri said Chiesa has been dealing with some sort of virus in recent days. Both Yildiz and Chiea’s status will be decided upon Sunday morning, according to Allegri. Due to injuries to Danilo and Alex Sandro, Allegri said that January signing Tiago Djalo could make his Juventus debut against Salernitana. It would be his first game action in 15 months following the serious knee injury he suffered with Lille in March 2023. JUVENTUS PLAYER TO WATCH Arek Milik is not Federico Chiesa. That is very obvious. They are two different kinds of forward, and that’s on top of the fact that one of them is actually a winger and therefore being played in a less-than desirable position for the better part of the last two years since returning from tearing his ACL. But Milik is, as we’ve come to know, a player that Allegri likes to turn to in moments like this one. That’s especially true because Yildiz is still struggling to get back to 100% percent thanks to his extended battle with gastroenteritis. (Did you know that Yildiz has officially played more league minutes than Milik this season? I didn’t realize that until I looked it up!). Sure, if Chiesa can’t go then Yildiz would be the go-to option. The thing is, he’s also not completely healthy, so the options are down to either Milik or Moise Kean to take Chiea’s spot if need be. And I don’t know about you guys, but I would rather have Milik start as compared to a completely out-of-form Kean who has now not scored in over a year. (His last goal was April 1, 2023, against Hellas Verona. That’s 13 months ago!). You just get the feeling that if Chiesa (or even Dusan Vlahovic) gets a rest against Salernitana, the first person Allegri is going to turn to is Milik. And even though he’s not had a great season, he’s shown capable of. MATCH INFO When: Sunday, May 12, 2024. Where: Allianz Stadium, Turin, Italy. Juventus needs to make some sales to sign Gudmundsson Juventus remains interested in signing Genoa star Albert Gudmundsson as they look to bolster their squad. ............ The Iceland international is one of the best performers for the Grifoni, who are performing well in Serie A. ............ However, Juventus will struggle to add him to their squad unless they offload some of their players. The report suggests that Juventus is now looking to sell either Federico Chiesa or Matias Soule to fund a move for Gudmundsson. Chiesa’s contract expires at the end of next season, and Soule might struggle to get game time at the Allianz Stadium next term, even though he had a brilliant season on loan at Frosinone this year. ............ Preview: Juventus vs. Salernitana - prediction, team news, lineups Warming up for next week's Coppa Italia final, Juventus will welcome Serie A's bottom side Salernitana to Turin on Sunday. Victory would seal Champions League qualification for the Bianconeri, but four straight draws have left them glancing over their shoulder at several teams behind them. Match preview After a rare season without continental competition, due to a one-year ban imposed by UEFA, Juventus can book their return to Europe's top table by beating Serie B-bound Salernitana, securing the club's 24th involvement in the Champions League. However, a side that once contested top spot with Inter Milan has been stumbling towards the tape for several weeks now - with just two wins to show from their last 14 league fixtures, they are hanging on to third place by a two-point margin. In 2024, only Heidenheim have drawn more matches than Juve throughout Europe's top five leagues, while only Frosinone and Sunday's visitors have won fewer times in Italy's top flight. Again unable to finish off their opponents, Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw by Roma last time out, as Brazilian centre-back Bremer scored his 13th headed goal in Serie A to secure a point at Stadio Olimpico. A return to Rome awaits next Wednesday, when Max Allegri's men will contest the Coppa Italia final, which they recently reached by eliminating Lazio - for the second time in four seasons, Atalanta BC are their opponents in the decider. First, though, the Bianconeri must take care of business by recording a third win on the spin over Salernitana; having lost just once in nine previous top-flight meetings with the Campanian club, their frustrated fans will accept nothing less. ............ Team News Not expected to indulge in much rotation ahead of the cup final - and against modest opposition - Juventus boss Max Allegri will be without three defenders due to injury, while Timothy Weah is sidelined by suspension. Brazilian duo Danilo (thigh) and Alex Sandro (calf) are both unavailable, as is Mattia De Sciglio (thigh), but young striker Kenan Yildiz hopes to recover from an illness. With the latter's involvement likely to be limited, Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic are set to feature up front; Vlahovic has been directly involved in no fewer than nine goals - six of his own and three assists - from five previous meetings with Salernitana. ............ Juventus possible starting lineup: Szczesny; Gatti, Bremer, Rugani; Cambiaso, McKennie, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Chiesa, Vlahovic Salernitana possible starting lineup: Fiorillo; Pierozzi, Fazio, Pirola; Sambia, Coulibaly, Basic, Zanoli; Vignato, Tchaouna; Ikwuemesi We say: Juventus 2-0 Salernitana Juve will end their winless run at the expense of a hapless Salernitana side that could finish the season with just 15 points: the hosts will try to get victory wrapped up as early as possible, before conserving some energy for next week's cup final. Koopmeiners agent is now in Italy, can Juventus sign him? Many Juventus fans believe their team must sign Teun Koopmeiners, as he has been shining at Atalanta. The midfielder will likely leave La Dea soon, and Juventus wants to be his next club. However, it is not simple to sign him because Liverpool and other top European clubs are also showing interest in acquiring his signature. ............ Juventus is prepared to triple his current net salary of 1.5 million euros per season, which should ideally be more than enough to sign him. However, it might not be, and his agent is already in Italy trying to negotiate an agreement. ............ Read more -> https://www.juvefc.com/koopmeiners-agent-is-now-in-italy-can-juventus-sign-him/

Locatelli could play in a different role if Thiago Motta comes to Juventus Manuel Locatelli joined Juventus following an impressive performance for Italy in Euro 2020 and some fine displays for Sassuolo. ............ The men in black and white expect more from him, even though he primarily plays in front of the defense. A change of management could make a difference. Locatelli is one of the Juventus players whose position in the team could be affected if Thiago Motta becomes the club’s next manager. Motta is tipped to replace Allegri, and the report claims that if that happens, Locatelli will be assigned a different role. ............ Allegri expects to get a new job as soon as he leaves Juventus Max Allegri’s future remains uncertain, but the manager has shown no signs of fear, even though it could take him some time to find a new job. ............ Allegri will likely leave Juventus at the end of this season and now aims to win the Italian Cup and qualify the team for the next Champions League. These are goals he can still achieve, but they might not be enough to save his job. However, journalist Carlo Pellegatti says he will not struggle to find a new one. Ci azzeccò in pieno. E così fu. Pochi mesi dopo esordì in Under 21 e a gennaio della stagione successiva divenne titolare, a soli diciassette anni.

Juventus vs Salernitana: Preview Juventus have an opportunity to seal Champions League qualification for 2024/25 if they can defeat bottom-placed Salernitana on Serie A Matchday 36. Juventus will host Salernitana at the Allianz Stadium on Serie A Matchday 36 in what should be one of the most one-sided matches on paper. The Bianconeri are third with 66 points, but they have draw their last four matches in Serie A, and they are struggling to score goals, having found the back of the net on just three occasions in that period. Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic has scored 16 goals this season, and he is second only to Lautaro Martinez from Inter, but he has scored just once in the last seven games. ............ Despite the underwhelming form of Juventus, this match is a great opportunity for La Vecchia Signora to win and seal their place in the Champions League for next season. A depleted Salernitana earning a least a point from this match would be nothing short of a miracle. Juventus vs Salernitana: Predicted line-ups Juventus will miss Timothy Weah due to suspension whereas Danilo, Alex Sandro, and Kenan Yildiz have to pass fitness tests prior to the match. Versatile wing-back Andrea Cambiaso is one yellow card away from serving a ban. The Bianconeri are expected to start in the 3-5-2 formation as usual albeit with Daniele Rugani starting in defence while Cambiaso and Filip Kostic should operate as the wing-backs. Despite his lack of goals lately, Vlahovic should start in attack ahead of Arkadiusz Milik and play beside Federico Chiesa. ............ Juventus predicted XI vs Salernitana (3-5-2): Szczesny; Gatti, Bremer, Rugani; Cambiaso, McKennie, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Chiesa, Vlahovic Salernitana predicted XI vs Juventus (3-4-3): Fiorillo; Pierozzi, Fazio, Pirola; Sambia, Coulibaly, Basic, Sfait; Tchaouna, Vignato, Ikwuemesi Juventus vs Salernitana: When does the Serie A fixture start?
