Calciopoli & Scommessopoli In English
Socrates ha risposto al topic di gsol in Juventus news in English
Trezeguet: “The 2006 Scudetto was won on the pitch, Inter’s display is folklore” David Trezeguet, former Juventus striker, has reignited the Calciopoli controversy with his recent comments on the 2006 Serie A title. ............ Addressing the Calciopoli scandal, Trezeguet firmly stated, “Even Inter fans know it: Juventus won the championship on the field with a show of strength superior to the Nerazzurri.” He emphasized the quality of that Juventus team, claiming they were superior to European giants like Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich. Trezeguet dismissed Inter’s display of the 2006 Scudetto as “folkloric,” suggesting that many Inter players at the time knew Juventus was superior and deserved to win that championship. He added, “Everything else is just folklore.” ............ Regarding the current Juventus team, Trezeguet believes the true Juventus hasn’t been seen yet this season. He stressed the importance of winning and criticized new players who might not understand what Juventus represents globally. ............ The former striker also had words for current Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic, emphasizing the need to transmit a hunger for winning at Juventus. “At Juve, you need to convey the hunger to win; the rest counts for little, otherwise they send you away,” Trezeguet stated. Commenting on Thiago Motta’s coaching style, Trezeguet acknowledged its merits but reminded that Juventus fans only care about winning, regardless of playing style or player attitudes. . Barcelona offers Juventus a player surplus to requirements Juventus has reportedly been presented with an opportunity to sign Andreas Christensen from Barcelona as they work to reinforce their defence during the January transfer window. The Bianconeri have faced significant challenges at the back this season, losing two key defenders to injury and placing Danilo on the transfer list. ............ Barcelona has offered Juventus the chance to acquire Christensen. The Spanish club is exploring ways to free up squad space to register Dani Olmo permanently. Olmo had been temporarily registered during Christensen’s six-month injury absence earlier in the season. However, with the Danish defender now fit, Barcelona faces difficulties keeping both players on their books under financial and squad registration constraints. Christensen is a proven defender with experience at the highest level, having previously impressed during his stints with Chelsea and Barcelona. His availability could give Juventus a reliable option to plug gaps in their defence. However, the decision may ultimately rest with Juventus manager Thiago Motta, who will need to determine if the Danish international fits into his plans and style of play. ............ . Zirkzee subbed off after 33 minutes as Juventus rumours intensify Manchester United striker and Juventus target Joshua Zirkzee went through a humiliating moment as he was replaced after just 33 minutes during his side’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle, with the home crowd loudly cheering the decision as he walked off the pitch. The Red Devils put in another dismal display under new coach Ruben Amorim, who was desperate to change something after watching his team concede twice in the opening 20 minutes, only to decide to replace the former Bologna striker with Kobbie Mainoo. ............ The Dutchman first headed straight to the tunnel before coming back and taking his place on the bench with the hood pulled over his head. Asked to explain the decision after the game, Amorim admitted it was a ‘tough’ call but insisted that ‘it was important for him to come out’ as the forward was ‘suffering’. ............ . As a result, Zirkzee is now likely to be even more willing to leave Old Trafford in January, with Teamtalk claiming that he has instructed his agents to evaluate proposals coming from Serie A clubs, who look particularly eager to bring the striker back to Italy. ............ . Juventus makes an offer to sign a second AC Milan defender in six months The outstanding success of Pierre Kalulu at Juventus has inspired the club to pursue another AC Milan defender, as they look to strengthen their defensive options. ............ The Bianconeri have turned their attention to Fikayo Tomori, another talented AC Milan defender. The former Chelsea man has enjoyed a strong spell in Serie A and has proven himself to be a dependable and skilful centre-back. Juventus is reportedly keen on bringing Tomori to Turin during the January transfer window and has already submitted an offer to Milan for his services. The proposal from Juventus involves signing Tomori on an initial loan deal with a clause to make the move permanent in the summer, contingent on certain conditions being met. However, AC Milan prefers a straightforward sale and has set their asking price at €25 million. For now, the Rossoneri have not accepted Juve’s offer, though negotiations could intensify as the transfer window approaches. Tomori himself is reportedly open to the move, and a switch to the Allianz Stadium could mark the next step in his career. ............ While Milan may be reluctant to part ways with another key defender, Juventus seems determined to capitalise on the situation. If they manage to secure Tomori’s signature, it would be another significant coup for the club as they aim to fortify their team for the second half of the season and beyond. . Juventus is set to complete the transfer of impressive loanee Juventus is preparing to take the expected step of completing Pierre Kalulu’s transfer from AC Milan following his successful loan spell in Turin. The French defender joined Juventus on loan in the summer and has quickly established himself as one of the team’s standout performers this season. His performances have bolstered Juve’s defence, and the club is now fully committed to making his move permanent. ............ Juventus is more than satisfied with Kalulu’s impact, and the idea of not keeping him is unthinkable, given his outstanding contributions. His defensive prowess and consistency have made him an invaluable asset, and his permanent acquisition appears to be a foregone conclusion. Kalulu’s form in Turin has reportedly left AC Milan regretting their decision to let him go. Their new manager could have benefitted from the Frenchman’s qualities, but the defender’s future now lies firmly with Juventus. For the Bianconeri, securing Kalulu permanently is a priority, and the move will soon be finalised barring any unforeseen complications. ............ Juventus’s decision to retain Kalulu is a testament to his quality and impact. Milan’s loss has undoubtedly been Juve’s gain, and the defender looks set to enjoy a long and successful career in Turin as one of the key players in their squad. Juventus vs Milan Super Cup to feature family reunion after shocking Fonseca sacking The Italian Super Cup showdown between Juventus and Milan will be headlined by a surprising family reunion between Francisco Conceicao and his father Sergio. Both clubs have been enduring a disappointing start to the season, training behind in the race for the Scudetto title while also finding themselves outside of the Top Four. But while Thiago Motta still holds a firm position at Juventus and is expected to remain in his post at least until the end of the season, Milan have decided to wield the axe on Paulo Fonseca’s tenure, making the shocking decision last night following their 1-1 draw against Roma at San Siro. ............ But as fate would have it, the 50-year-old’s first match in charge will pit him against his son Francisco who has now cemented himself as a bonafide star and a fan favourite among Juventus supporters. The two Serie A giants will clash heads in Riyadh on Friday in the semi-final of the Italian Super Cup. The winner will progress to the final to take one either Inter or Atalanta the following Monday. ............ . Bergomi reveals one thing he didn’t like about Motta’s choices against Fiorentina Legendary Inter defender Giuseppe Bergomi praised Juve’s display against Fiorentina, despite the disappointing outcome. However, he still doesn’t agree with one of Thiago Motta’s choices. ............ “I liked what I saw from Juventus,” said the 1982 World Cup winner. “We saw Thuram and Conceicao with his flashes. They were decent at the back even if there were some mistakes. I still see progress. “But I don’t like Koopmeiners’ position as an attacking midfielder,” concluded Bergomi. ............ Motta has been deploying the club’s big summer signing as an attacking midfielder behind Dusan Vlahovic, but he hasn’t been able to impact the game the way he used to during his time at Atalanta, Moreover, his scoring stats remain mediocre (only one goal since joining the club). The Juventus manager has recently tried to play Koopmeiners alongside Manuel Locatelli in the double pivot in the contest against Monza, but the experiment was cut short when the Netherlands international suffered a slight knock that forced him out at the interval. ............ . Danilo’s Juventus exit looms: Defender set to miss Italian Super Cup Danilo’s future at Juventus appears increasingly uncertain as the Brazilian defender is expected to be left out of the squad for the upcoming Italian Super Cup in Saudi Arabia. This development signals a growing rift between the player and the club, hinting at an imminent departure. Thiago Motta has made the decision not to include Danilo in the team’s roster for the match against Milan, and potentially for subsequent games against Inter or Atalanta. ............ The exclusion from such a significant tournament fuels speculation about Danilo’s potential transfer in the upcoming winter market. Napoli has emerged as the frontrunner to secure his services, with the defender’s contract set to expire in June. A January transfer represents Juventus’s last opportunity to monetize this valuable asset. ............ The main point of contention in negotiations between Napoli and Juventus revolves around the transfer fee. Juventus is seeking compensation for releasing Danilo, while Napoli hopes to acquire him on a free transfer, considering his imminent free agent status in the summer. Danilo’s current situation at Juventus is precarious, with the club open to his departure. There’s a possibility of terminating his contract six months early, though this scenario remains unlikely at present. His departure would allow Juventus to offload his substantial wages, reported to be around €4 million net per season. ............ . Adani: “With Kean in place of Vlahovic it would have ended 3-0 to Juventus” Former defender and current TV and social media commentator Lele Adani has shared his thoughts on Juventus’ current situation following their 2-2 draw against Fiorentina. ............ “What is Juventus today?” Adani began, acknowledging that he had initially supported the team’s new direction under Motta. ............ “The latest draws are more disappointing and put everything into question. I’m not talking about draws in terms of points, but about the lack of skill and productivity in both penalty areas.” Adani pointed out a shift in the team’s performance. Previously, he saw a solid team playing 70 meters of the pitch well, in line with the new project. The concern then was mainly about the final third of the field. Now, however, he sees a more significant problem: “Now Juventus is conceding goals that they shouldn’t, and while they manage to score sometimes, they’re too vulnerable.” ............ “Juventus got nothing from the substitutions. Juventus in its history is a team with grit, aggression, and focus. It’s not a team that, when leading twice, allows itself to be caught up so naively. Today, Cambiaso and Yildiz, who own the left flank, came on poorly, and it needs to be said, considering I’ve praised them other times.” ............ “I say this with the utmost respect for the truth: in my opinion, if you had changed the two center forwards, this match could have ended 3-0.” ............ “Vlahovic is very behind in terms of his position on the field, the number he wears, and the colors he’s wearing. I say this while appreciating his aggression and seriousness in his work. I like him from this point of view, but he makes too many mistakes and gets the timing wrong.” . Juventus extend shocking record & the standout stats from Fiorentina draw On Sunday evening, Juventus squandered their lead yet again, as Fiorentina escaped the Allianz Stadium with a precious point. Khephren Thuram put the Bianconeri ahead twice, only to see his team’s advantage evaporate on both occasions, largely due to Moise Kean who scored the first for the Viola and created the second for his teammate Riccardo Sottil. ............ The Bianconeri have now registered their 11th draw after 18 rounds. Hence, Juve have now finished the year with a shocking 21 draws in Serie A, thus extending this undesired club record shared by Max Allegri (9), Paolo Montero (1) and Thiago Motta (11). ............ Nevertheless, Juventus remain undefeated in Serie A since the start of the season. Hence, they have become the first team to do avoid a defeat after 18 Serie A rounds since the 2018/19 campaign when Max Allegri led the Bianconeri towards their last Scudetto triumph together. ............ On another note, Thuram has now scored his first brace in Europe’s Top 5 leagues. He is also the first Juventus midfielder to score more than a single goal against Fiorentina since Angelo Alessio’s brace in December 1990. ............ . Juventus Not Close to Any of Their Defensive Targets Juventus have run into troubles in the negotiations for their primary defensive targets, Fikayo Tomori, Antonio Silva, and David Hancko. It’s unlikely any one of them will join in the first few days of January as they wanted to. ............ Thiago Motta considers Tomori an ideal reinforcement, but there have been no formal contacts between the two clubs yet. The Rossoneri are rigid and value the player despite his limited role in this campaign. His price tag is about €30M. Moreover, Benfica didn’t take well Jorge Mendes explicitly nudging Antonio Silva toward Juventus. ............ Feyenoord haven’t opened to an initial loan for Hancko, but he’s eager to join a top team. ............ . Read more -> https://cultofcalcio.com/juventus-not-close-to-any-of-their-defensive-targets/

Juventus’ offer for young defender rejected – Formula & figures revealed Juventus have reportedly made an opening bid for Antonio Silva but they received a swift rejection from Benfica who weren’t tempted by the figures. The Bianconeri are looking to sign a new centre-back to make up for Gleison Bremer’s absence as well as Danilo’s seemingly imminent departure, and the 21-year-old has been one of the main names on the club’s shortlist, alongside Fikayo Tomori and David Hancko. The Serie A giants feel they stand a good chance at landing Silva, especially thanks to their good rapport with his agent Jorge Mendes. ............ Nevertheless, the Benfica manager has recently insisted that the club’s young jewels, including Silva, aren’t for sale, and that any suitor who wishes to buy one of them would have to activate the player’s release clause. In Silva’s case, that would be 100 million euros. ............ The Bianconeri proposed a loan until the end of the season for 5 million euros with an option to buy the defender at the end of the season for 30 million euros. Nevertheless, the Eagles weren’t impressed, so they were quick to turn down the offer, remaining true to the manager’s aforementioned words, at least for the time being. ............ . Thuram not happy about Juventus draw despite scoring twice Khephren Thuram has expressed his frustration following Juventus’ 2-2 draw against Fiorentina, despite delivering an exceptional performance that saw him score twice for the Bianconeri. The French midfielder was in inspired form throughout the match, showcasing his skill and composure in front of goal, but the result left him deeply disappointed. ............ Thuram, who joined Juventus earlier this season, was hoping his brace would secure all three points for the Turin giants. However, the late setback cast a shadow over what was arguably his best performance since arriving at the club. Thuram shared his mixed emotions, emphasising that the team’s result mattered far more than his individual achievement. “I’m more angry about the draw,” he admitted. “They are the first two goals for this shirt, but I would have preferred not to score and win this match.” Thuram’s comments reflect the frustration that many Juventus players and fans are feeling this season. While his personal contribution was a highlight, the inability to close out games remains a glaring issue for Thiago Motta’s side. Dropping points in such a manner not only hampers their league ambitions but also underscores the need for greater focus and discipline, particularly in the latter stages of matches. ............ . Juventus 2 - Fiorentina 2: Initial reaction and random observations Folks, I had things all perfectly planned out. For the first time this season, we would get the chance to indulge ourselves in the fact that one Thuram brother scored goals and the other one didn’t, and it was the one who wears bianconero who was on the good side of it. But the thing that comes with writing about this Juventus team is that you can’t really bet on anything anymore just because of how they’ve been with closing out games this season. ............ Was there some pure dumb luck involved in Riccardo Sottil’s 87th-minute thunderbolt that tied things up and allowed Fiorentina to claim a 2-2 draw against Juventus? Absolutely. In what looked like a relatively routine attempted clearance by one of Juve’s best players, Andrea Cambiaso, turned into a 10-second moment in time in which every bit of luck that Fiorentina could have go their way actually did. That Cambiaso slip turned into scoring chance at the top of the box that was blocked by Manuel Locatelli and Teun Koopmeiners, only to deflect right into the path of an unmarked Sottil, who hammered it past Michele Di Gregorio on the volley to send Juventus to their latest draw in a season full of them. And that’s why a game-tying goal that came out of a simple fluke occurrence feels more than just a singular result of dropped points. It’s because Juve’s season to date has now had 11 draws in the first 18 league games — and seven of those draws have come in front of the home crowd at the Allianz. Plus, to add a little more salt in the wound, it’s a draw just like Venezia and Lecce before it, that Juventus had the lead in the closing moments (or even stoppage time) and just couldn’t close the door fully on the opposition. So instead of going into 2025 with back-to-back wins for just the third time this season, Juventus will now prepare for the Supercoppa mini-tournament in Saudi Arabia coming off a result that is becoming all too familiar to coaches, players and supporters alike. ............ Nearly two-thirds of the time against Serie A opposition this season, Juventus have gotten a single point. ............ Projects take time and will usually provide some rocky moments in which your mettle is tested, but I don’t think anybody could have seen Juventus approaching the final game of the official midway point — which will technically be the first game of the ritorno and second Derby della Mole of the season because of the Supercoppa — with so many draws and dropped points. Heck, if Juve had won even half of the games they’ve drawn this season they would right up there with Atalanta, Napoli and Inter rather than sitting in the same sixth-place spot that they’ve had ever since the first Derby della Mole back in early November. ............ RANDOM THOUGHTS AND OBSERVATIONS Honestly, after a game like this that Juventus very much should have won, all I really want to do is write “this is stupid” and just sign off for the day. Seriously. That’s all I want. ............ Sottil’s goal had an xG of 0.06. I mean ... come on. He hit it absolutely perfectly just when he needed it to. ............ Imagine making the trip from Florence to Turin as a Fiorentina supporter and proving that your sole reason for buying a ticket was to hurl racist crap at a former player who hasn’t played for your club in essentially two years. Hopefully all those cameras at the Allianz that Juve like to boast about come in handy once again and they’re all banned into the ether. Pierre Kalulu has proven to be a very good signing for Juventus, but no matter how good he has been doesn’t mean he is able to mark two guys at the back post. That was just another of bad defending from a Juventus side that is very much not the defense that they were during the first six weeks of the season. Also, a couple of questions: What was Federico Gatti doing and just marking nobody? Why didn’t anybody close down Yacine Adli with any sort of serious nature and just give him all the time he wanted to put in a quality cross to Kean at the back post? Good on Moise for not celebrating that goal as much as his teammates wanted him to. ............ That save from David de Gea on Dusan Vlahovic in the first half ... my goodness. ............ Thuram was just so good against Fiorentina. Didn’t really matter what he was doing — driving runs forward, ground duels, whatever — he was arguably the best player on the field and you get the sense that he’s really starting to hit a nice run of form. Locatelli’s heat map might as well be the enter center part of the field because he was just about everywhere. So many important blocks, interceptions, tackles. The guy is a workhorse. Douglas Luiz came on in the 89 minute. I hope you all cherished it. We saw the good of Francisco Conceição against Fiorentina, but also some of the bad in which he just tried to put his head down and make it happen himself rather potentially seeing a teammate making a run or open for a short-range pass. While it sure was nice to see Conceição having more of an impact defensively, there’s still a few things Chico needs to knock out of his system in the attacking third. ............ Juventus player ratings v Fiorentina – One player stands out Starting XI Michele Di Gregorio – 6.5 ............ Nicolo Savona – 6.0 A tough outing for Savona, who struggled to contribute offensively and left too much space for Fiorentina to exploit down his flank. Federico Gatti – 6.0 He showed his usual enthusiasm to push forward but needs to improve his leadership at the back to help protect a lead. Pierre Kalulu – 6.5 Arguably Juventus’ best defender on the night, but his performance fell short of ensuring the team kept a clean sheet. Weston McKennie – 6.0 ............ Teun Koopmeiners – 7.5 A decent performer, Koopmeiners was instrumental in Juve’s attacking play and involved in key moments that led to the goals. Manuel Locatelli – 7.5 Juve’s most consistent midfielder all season delivered another strong performance. His absence in the next game will be sorely felt. Khephren Thuram – 8.5A sensational display from Thuram, who netted both goals and was a constant threat to Fiorentina’s defence. His stock continues to rise. Samuel Mbangula – 6.5 ............ Dusan Vlahovic – 6.0 The Fiorentina defence had him figured out, making it a frustrating game for the striker despite his best efforts to score. Francisco Conceição – 7.5 An exciting player to watch, Conceição repeatedly tested Fiorentina’s defence with his direct dribbling and flair. Substitutes Andrea Cambiaso – 4.5 Tasked with shoring up the defence, Cambiaso instead made a costly mistake that allowed Fiorentina to equalise. Thiago Motta identifies what Juventus lacked in 2-2 draw against Fiorentina Thiago Motta insists Juventus had to be more clinical and score the third goal against Fiorentina: ‘I don’t believe in bad luck.’ Juventus were held to a 2-2 draw by Fiorentina at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Sunday. The Bianconeri remain unbeaten in Serie A this season, but they have now collected 11 draws. ............ “We always tried to attack to score the third goal. We had to score the third to kill off the game, but we left them the chance to remain in the game,” he said. ............ “I would not focus on that [defensive errors]. We had a few more days to rest, so there was energy, but we didn’t kill off the game. We had to manage the game differently. We conceded too much at the back, but they are a quality team. Ultimately, the result counts, and we could not score an extra goal. “We had many good moments today, and we would have deserved to score the third goal. This is what we lacked today,” continued the former midfielder. “We managed the defensive phase well in other games, including against Manchester City. Today we had to score the third to kill off the game. ............ During a post-match press conference, Motta added: “I don’t believe in bad luck. We should have killed off the game and don’t leave a chance to the opponent. I don’t believe in bad luck. I believe in merit.” Juventus are now off to Saudi Arabia, where they will meet Milan in the Supercoppa semifinal on January 3. ............ . Motta walking dangerously close to Allegri’s footsteps as Juventus ‘slip’ again Out with the old, in with the new. This was the mantra that Juventus vigorously promoted last summer. And yet, aside from a set of new faces between the pitch and the dugout, and the lack of outbursts that involve throwing jackests to the ground and grabbing journalists by the throat, one would struggle to spot the difference between the old and what has been deemed as the ‘new’. First of all, judging Thiago Motta at this stage of this season remains blasphemously premature. After all, the young tactician is still adjusting to life in Turin, while the injury crisis surely hasn’t made matters any easier. Moreover, the lack of experience within his ranks has been painfully obvious, to say the least. ............ This season, it feels as if the Bianconeri are automatically set to retreat to their areas whenever they take the lead, regardless of the timing or the size of the opposition. We even saw this lacklustre approach against bottom-of-the-table Monza and Lecce, even though it has backfired more often than not. Nevertheless, Juventus fans aren’t unfamiliar with this ultra-cautious method. In fact, this was one of the main reasons why the largest part of the fanbase was demanding Max Allegri’s head by the middle of his chaotic second reign. ............ On the other hand, Motta simply wasn’t born for this approach, and yet, it seems as if Allegri’s spirit is still haunting the walls of Continassa, luring his successor into unfamiliar territory. And once again, the young tactician has been reminded of the dangers of toying with a one-goal lead when he doesn’t have Giorgio Chiellini and his comrades marshalling the backline, as all that it takes is one little slip – more often figurative but occasionally literal – to burn more points to ashes and leave the club trailing in the miserable 6th place while trying to mask its sorrows with what has to be the most hollow, unimpressive undefeated run in football history. ............ . Everton want Arthur but he says no because of one big reason Arthur Melo has emerged as a target for several clubs ahead of the January transfer window, with Everton reportedly showing significant interest in signing the Brazilian midfielder. ............ Everton’s interest comes as no surprise, given their struggles in midfield this season and their need to strengthen the squad to avoid the threat of relegation. The Premier League side reportedly sees Arthur as a player who can bring experience and technical quality to their midfield. However, despite Everton’s declared intent to secure his signature, Arthur appears unwilling to consider a move to Goodison Park. Arthur’s loyalty to Liverpool, where he spent a loan spell last season, is the primary reason he has dismissed the idea of joining Everton. While his stint at Liverpool was brief and injury-plagued, the midfielder reportedly holds the club in high regard and does not wish to play for their city rivals. This stance complicates matters for Juventus, who are eager to find a new home for the 28-year-old to reduce their financial burden and focus on players who can contribute meaningfully to the team. ............ Arthur’s situation underscores the complexities of the January transfer market, where both clubs and players face competing priorities. While Juventus is determined to offload him, the midfielder is equally keen to choose a club where he can revive his career without compromising his personal loyalties. It remains to be seen which club will step forward with an offer that satisfies all parties involved. ............ .
