  1. JUVENTUS - UDINESE December 1, 2013 - 6:30 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Gianpaolo Calvarese Lichtsteiner back for Juventus Nov 30, 2013 Stephan Lichtsteiner, Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci and Angelo Ogbonna return for Juventus-Udinese. http://markting10.nl/ This Serie A tie kicks off in Turin at 18.30 CET on Sunday. Ogbonna and Bonucci are back in the squad after their one-match bans, while Barzagli has shaken off an injury he sustained on international duty. http://markting10.nl/ Lichtsteiner’s inclusion is a huge boost, as the Swiss wide man has been out of action for two months with a serious thigh strain. Kwadwo Asamoah is unavailable due to suspension, while Sebastian Giovinco, Mauricio Isla and Simone Pepe are injured. Juventus squad for Udinese: Buffon, Chiellini, Caceres, Ogbonna, Pogba, Marchisio, Vucinic, Tevez, De Ceglie, Peluso, Llorente, Barzagli, Motta, Bonucci, Padoin, Pirlo, Vidal, Lichtsteiner, Quagliarella, Storari, Rubinho http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  2. JUVENTUS - UDINESE December 1, 2013 - 6:30 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Gianpaolo Calvarese Conte: 'Punish other ultras too' Nov 30, 2013 Antonio Conte warns Juventus will have a tough game against Udinese, but notes other chants are equally worthy of punishment. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri host Udinese on Sunday at 18.30 CET. The game was brought forward so children could pack the stands, as ultras are banned from the Curva after anti-Neapolitan chants. “There are equally serious incidents that should bring to equally strong sanctions, for example when opposition fans insult the dead at Heysel or Superga,” said Conte in his Press conference. http://markting10.nl/ “These chants are ugly and should be condemned, but so should insults towards the dead or fans who demolish the inside of stadiums.” Juve will try to make the best of the situation by having children in the Juventus Stadium cheering on their team against Udinese. “It will be a tough game, as physically they are getting back on track. We know the way they play and what they can do with excellent players on the counter-attack, including Antonio Di Natale. It will not be easy. http://markting10.nl/ “The treatment room is slowly emptying out. Stephan Lichtsteiner has started training with us, while Mauricio Isla should have the last training session separately and return with the team next week with Sebastian Giovinco. “We have been without Lichtsteiner for over two months and we really need him. We hope he can become available again before January.” Juventus are now top of the Serie A table after leapfrogging Roma, who have been held to three consecutive stalemates after winning the opening 10 rounds. http://markting10.nl/ “Rudi Garcia is doing something extraordinary. Not being top despite 10 wins and three draws means the competition is fierce and we cannot afford to let our concentration levels drop. “During a season, there can be two or three decisive moments. The less we make mistakes, the better. We are top now, but from tomorrow until Christmas our path will be complicated. “Will I write a letter to Father Christmas asking for a new player? No, I don’t write letters to Santa.” http://markting10.nl/ Naturally, Conte was also asked about the chaos at Milan with Adriano Galliani ready to leave after 28 years. “I won’t get into the situation, but Galliani is a great director, absolutely one of the best and most successful. Winning is not easy, but winning again is extremely difficult.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  3. Monaco send scouts for Bonucci Nov 29, 2013 Monaco have sent scouts to watch Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci, Press reports have insisted this evening. http://markting10.nl/ Tuttosport have claimed on Friday that the French team were in the stands for the Bianconeri’s win over Copenhagen on Wednesday to watch the defender. Russian side Zenit St Petersburg had their €15m bid for the 26-year-old rejected in the summer, and it is believed that if Juve are to accept an offer for the Italy international, then the sum would have to be considerably larger than that. http://markting10.nl/ Bonucci has become integral to Antonio Conte’s side since his arrival in 2010.

The visitors head into the match on the back of a 1-0 win over Fiorentina, but Udinese have scraped just two victories in six outings. Conte is thus expected to be shy of only Sebastian Giovinco and Simone Pepe. Kwadwo Asamoah is suspended. http://markting10.nl/ Juventus possible XI v Udinese: Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Lichtsteiner, Marchisio, Pirlo, Vidal, Peluso (De Ceglie); Tevez, Llorente. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  6. JUVENTUS - UDINESE December 1, 2013 - 6:30 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Gianpaolo Calvarese Di Natale targets Juventus scalp The 36-year-old forward is gunning for all three points when the Zebrette take on the Bianconeri in Turin on Sunday. Nov 29, 2013 Udinese captain Antonio Di Natale is hopeful that his team can cause an upset in Sunday's Serie A game against Juventus. http://markting10.nl/ The Zebrette currently lie 11th in the table and their talismanic forward is eager to build on upon last weekend's 1-0 win over Fiorentina by stunning the league leaders in Turin. "It's going to be a tough match against Juventus, but we are on the way back again," the 36-year-old attacker told Udinese Channel. "We showed what we're made of against Fiorentina and Catania and we're going to Turin to give our all. http://markting10.nl/ "We have to play our own game and have to approach them without fear. You never know what will happen in football, although fact remains that Juventus are a great team." Di Natale – who has scored at least 23 goals in each of the last four Serie A seasons – has netted four times in 12 appearances in the current campaign. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  7. Monaco keeping tabs on Juventus defender Bonucci The Stade Louis II outfit are keen to strengthen their back four and have added the Biaconeri centre-back to their shortlist of summer transfer targets. Nov 29, 2013 EXCLUSIVE By Romeo Agresti Leonardo Bonucci has attracted the interest of Monaco with his fine performances for Juventus this season. http://markting10.nl/ Les Rouge et Blanc are keen to add to their ranks in order to boost their bid to dethrone Paris Saint-Germain as Ligue 1 champions, having previously already bringing in high-profile names such as Radamel Falcao, James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho. Monaco have identified their defence as the area that most needs strengthening, despite conceding only 11 goals in 14 games so far this season. The French view the 26-year-old Bonucci as a player who could help them move to the next level and sent a scout to Juventus' Champions League win over Copenhagen on Wednesday to have a closer look at the Italy international. http://markting10.nl/ Monaco have yet to cement their interest in the centre-back, but they intend to keep monitoring him for the remainder of the season before eventually tabling an official offer during the summer. Bonucci joined Juventus from Bari in the summer of 2010 and has since developed into a key player in Turin, making over 100 official appearances for the Bianconeri to date. The defender's current contract with the Italian champions runs until June 2017.

JUVENTUS 3 - 1 COPENHAGEN Arturo Vidal (29'-PG) Olof Mellberg (56′) Arturo Vidal (60′-PG) Arturo Vidal (63′) November 27, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden) Attendance:‬ 39506‎ Juve fans didn't stab Copenhagen man Nov 28, 2013 Danish police claim the Copenhagen fan stabbed in Turin ahead of the Juventus match was injured in an altercation with other Danes. http://markting10.nl/ The supporter told Exstrabladet he had been in a group of visiting supporters having breakfast when they were attacked by five or six people. He decided not to press charges with the local police or even go to the A&E for medical treatment, preferring instead to attend the Champions League game. http://markting10.nl/ Now La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport states Danish police confirmed the stabbing occurred during an altercation between drunken Copenhagen fans in Turin and did not involve any Juventus ultras. Police at the Juventus Stadium also stopped three Danish fans who had hidden fireworks in their shoes.
  9. Ancelotti: Juve better than Galatasaray Nov 28, 2013 Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti feels Juventus have what is necessary to collect a draw at Galatasaray in their last Champions League group game. http://markting10.nl/ The Old Lady are a point shy of a place in the last 16, while Roberto Mancini’s Galatasaray – beaten 4-1 by Real last night – need a victory. “Every game has its own story,” the ex-Parma, Milan and Juve tactician noted. http://markting10.nl/ “Juventus have more quality than Galatasaray, but it will not be easy to go and play in Turkey. “Saying that, the Bianconeri have a greater chance of qualifying because they are in a better position in the group.”
  10. Mancini looks to Juventus clash Nov 28, 2013 Roberto Mancini has called for the fans to spur Galatasaray on to victory in their final Champions League group game against Juventus. http://markting10.nl/ The Turkish giants will need the three points to reach the last 16 of the competition, while just a point will be good enough for the Old Lady. “The decisive match will be against Juventus on 10 December,” boss Mancio stated after the 4-1 defeat at Real Madrid on Wednesday. “We could have gained an advantage if we had taken three points here. http://markting10.nl/ “We played some excellent football in the first half, but I did not understand what happened in the second half. “If you make such mistakes then a team like Real Madrid will make you pay. I just cannot understand the simple mistakes we made… http://markting10.nl/ “We will definitely need the support of our fans against Juventus. They have to back us until the final whistle and we are certain that it will be like that. “We will try to get the three points with the famous pressure that Galatasaray fans create.”
  11. JUVENTUS 3 - 1 COPENHAGEN Arturo Vidal (29'-PG) Olof Mellberg (56′) Arturo Vidal (60′-PG) Arturo Vidal (63′) November 27, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden) Attendance: 39506‎ 'Llorente is Juve's weapon' - Bonucci Arturo Vidal's hat-trick ensured that the Bianconeri defeated Copenhagen on Wednesday, but the Italian defender reserved praise for the Spanish striker. Nov 28, 2013 Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has lauded Fernando Llorente as the club's "weapon" on the back of a 3-1 win over Copenhagen on Wednesday. http://markting10.nl/ The Spanish striker was a key focal point as the Bianconeri secured a comprehensive Champions League victory on home turf, though it was midfielder Arturo Vidal who grabbed the headlines with his hat-trick. Bonucci was pleased with how he and his team-mates handled the anti-attacking tactics of the visitors and heralded Llorente for helping to break down the Danish side's defence. "Copenhagen tried to defend with 10 players behind the ball," the Italy international, 26, said to reporters after the match. http://markting10.nl/ "We did well to bring the advantage back in our favour by playing with the calm and the experience that we have acquired over the years. "In recent years we have played great football but we are changing it [against some] opponents. When we sometimes play ball high, Llorente is certainly a most effective weapon for us." Antonio Conte's men need to win or draw their final game away to Galatasaray to qualify second in Group B behind Real Madrid, but defeat at the Turk Telekom Arena will see them eliminated from the Champions League.
  12. JUVENTUS 3 - 1 COPENHAGEN Arturo Vidal (29'-PG) Olof Mellberg (56′) Arturo Vidal (60′-PG) Arturo Vidal (63′) November 27, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden) Attendance: 39506‎ Jorgensen laments defensive errors against Juventus The Denmark attacker was highly critical of his side's defensive display in Turin, as they conceded two penalties, both of which were converted by hat-trick hero Arturo Vidal. Nov 28, 2013 Copenhagen forward Nicolai Jorgensen could not hide his frustration after his side's hopes of making the last 16 of the Champions League were ended by a 3-1 defeat at Juventus. http://markting10.nl/ The Danes fell behind 29 minutes in when Arturo Vidal converted a penalty after Lars Jacobsen had inexplicably handled in the area but they drew level early in the second half through Olof Mellberg. However, FCK shot themselves in the foot once more then the latter hauled down Fernando Llorente in the area and Vidal slotted home once more, before adding a header moments later, to seal victory for the hosts and send the visitors crashing out. "I feel quite bitter right now," Jorgensen told reporters after the game. "I'm annoyed by the defensive mistakes. I feel that we could have got more out of this match. http://markting10.nl/ "We could have got at least a point. We created too few opportunities as well." Copenhagen will, at least, go into their final game, against Real Madrid on December 10, knowing that a victory would secure them a place in the Europa League.
  13. JUVENTUS 3 - 1 COPENHAGEN Arturo Vidal (29'-PG) Olof Mellberg (56′) Arturo Vidal (60′-PG) Arturo Vidal (63′) November 27, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden) Attendance:‬ 39506‎ Chiellini: 'Juve have Euro regrets' Nov 27, 2013 Giorgio Chiellini can’t help but feel “regret” that Juventus are still fighting for qualification after beating Copenhagen 3-1. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri will go through to the Champions League knockouts as long as they avoid defeat away to Galatasaray, as the Turkish side lost 4-1 to 10-man Real Madrid tonight. “The result in Madrid does favour us, even if there is regret we aren’t already qualified due to the points we dropped along the way,” Chiellini told Sky Sport Italia. “Copenhagen clammed up very well and allowed us very little compared to the meeting in Denmark, when it really did look like a siege. http://markting10.nl/ “We did well to win the game and that is the most important thing.” Chiellini also revealed the worst challenge of the night was from teammate Fernando Llorente, who collided with him in the scramble that led to the equaliser. “I felt a hand in my face and assumed it was a Copenhagen player, but then realised it was Fernando! He has to be more careful when he comes in to help defend, as he should watch out who he crashes into... Looking at the replays, I did get a shove from an opponent too, but I’ve still given more than my fair share of those!” http://markting10.nl/ The veteran defender feels the Italian sides have struggled more than usual in the Champions League this season due to their UEFA co-efficient. “We could’ve had a kinder draw, as could Milan, though we also made life difficult for ourselves with some slip-ups in the group. “Napoli were fourth seeds and were paired with two incredibly strong teams like Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund, so now need a miracle to qualify.”
  14. JUVENTUS 3 - 1 COPENHAGEN Arturo Vidal (29'-PG) Olof Mellberg (56′) Arturo Vidal (60′-PG) Arturo Vidal (63′) November 27, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden) Attendance:‬ 39506‎ Llorente: 'Juve not qualified yet' Nov 27, 2013 Fernando Llorente is glad of the 3-1 win over Copenhagen, but warned Juventus “aren’t qualified yet.” http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri will go through to the Champions League knockouts as long as they avoid defeat away to Galatasaray. “We aren’t qualified yet. We did what we had to tonight, but there is nothing official now,” the striker told Sport Mediaset. “We have to go to Turkey and it will be a very difficult game, so we must play well in order to qualify. http://markting10.nl/ “The Turkish fans are very passionate in support of their team and it is never easy to play in Istanbul.” There was a scare when Copenhagen managed to equalise, but Arturo Vidal completed his hat-trick to secure victory. “We knew it would not be easy, as it was also a very complicated game for us in Denmark. Like the team, I am improving game by game. We are a very united squad.”
  15. JUVENTUS 3 - 1 COPENHAGEN Arturo Vidal (29'-PG) Olof Mellberg (56′) Arturo Vidal (60′-PG) Arturo Vidal (63′) November 27, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden) Attendance:‬ 39506‎ Conte: 'Destiny in Juve's hands' Nov 27, 2013 Antonio Conte assured Juventus “will play to win” in Istanbul after beating Copenhagen 3-1. “Our destiny is in our hands.” http://markting10.nl/ Tonight’s victory means the Bianconeri will qualify for the Champions League knockouts if they avoid defeat away to Galatasaray. The Turkish side lost 4-1 to a Real Madrid side that was down to 10 men for an hour. “We knew Copenhagen were dangerous with balls flung into the box, from a free kick in the first game and a throw-in this time. We made life complicated for ourselves, but did well to get straight back on track with a second and third goal,” Conte told Sky Sport Italia. “This was a deserved victory in every aspect, though I would’ve been much happier if we had not conceded that goal. http://markting10.nl/ “Our European journey last season was virgin territory, as we hadn’t been in Europe before under my tenure. This year we made life difficult for ourselves in previous games against Copenhagen and Galatasaray, perhaps also against Real Madrid, so if we hadn’t dropped those points we’d already be qualified.” Conte assured Juventus will not play for a draw against Roberto Mancini’s Galatasaray, even though that would suffice for qualification. “It will be very fiery in Istanbul, but we put ourselves in this situation and have to deal with it. Our destiny is in our hands, so that is the important thing, as we don’t have to rely on anyone else’s results. http://markting10.nl/ “Our DNA does not allow for calculations. We are going there to win and that is the only way we know how to play. If Galatasaray do better, then we will applaud them, but we are incapable of sitting back and waiting for opponents to come at us. We took the game to Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Real Madrid, so we’ll do it to Galatasaray, that is beyond doubt.” Juve have been revived over the last few weeks, specifically since the 4-2 defeat to Fiorentina. http://markting10.nl/ “Results have certainly improved over the last month and a half, but I don’t think the performances were that different. When you get that slap in the face we did against Fiorentina, which nobody expected, it perhaps shook up the pride and determination that had slightly settled. “As I always say, I trust this team because I have great men even more than great players, so they know when something is wrong and are hyper-critical of their own performances.”
  16. JUVENTUS 3 - 1 COPENHAGEN Arturo Vidal (29'-PG) Olof Mellberg (56′) Arturo Vidal (60′-PG) Arturo Vidal (63′) November 27, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden) Attendance:‬ 39506‎ 'I'm taking the ball home for my son' - Vidal revels in first Juventus hat-trick The Chilean admitted after netting a treble in Wednesday's crucial Champions League win that he is very close to signing a new contract with the club. Nov 27, 2013 Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal revealed he was taking the match ball home as a gift for his son after he scored his first professional hat-trick in the 3-1 win over Copenhagen. http://markting10.nl/ The Chile international converted twice from the penalty spot before turning home a superb header to secure a valuable three points for the Bianconeri, after Olof Mellberg had levelled matters early in the second half. "It's the first hat-trick of my career and I'm taking the ball back home as a gift for my son, to show him when I played this game. We're expecting a little girl now, too, so I'm very happy," Vidal told Sky Sport Italia. "There was some fear, as we knew this was an important game for us, but the coach told us the important thing was for us to win." http://markting10.nl/ Vidal's performance further underlined his versatility for Juventus after he played in defence in the weekend win over Livorno, and the 26-year-old claims his excitement at donning the Bianconeri colours plays an important part in his form. "I think an important quality of mine is that I am always very happy," he mused. "I know how important it is for me to wear the Juventus shirt and I always try to give my all. "I haven't played in goal yet, so the coach might try me there!" http://markting10.nl/ Vidal also went on to stress he is very close to signing a new deal with the club that would extend his contract beyond 2016. "There is very little to go until we sign the new contract. I could sign it tomorrow [Thursday] or the day after, I'm just waiting for the club," he added. http://markting10.nl/ Wednesday's win - coupled with Galatasaray's 4-1 thrashing at the hands of 10-man Real Madrid - means Juventus need just a point in Istanbul to book their place in the next round, but striker Fernando Llorente has warned of the difficult task that awaits his side in their final match. "We have to go to Turkey, where we will play a tough game. A good game won't be enough; we'll have to play a perfect match," said the Spaniard.
  17. JUVENTUS 3 - 1 COPENHAGEN Arturo Vidal (29'-PG) Olof Mellberg (56′) Arturo Vidal (60′-PG) Arturo Vidal (63′) November 27, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden) Attendance:‬ 39506‎ Player Ratings Goal was on hand to cast judgement over a Juventus side who kept themselves in the Champions League thanks to an excellent Arturo Vidal hat-trick and a majestic Pirlo performance. Nov 27, 2013 JUVENTUS Gianluigi Buffon - The veteran shot-stopper had little to do in this game, with a smart save from Toutouh being the only real save he had to make. Martín Cáceres - A solid performances from the Uruguayan, who stepped out of defence to make a good few interceptions in the later stages. Leonardo Bonucci - Unlucky not to meet a couple of corner deliveries, and made a couple of good challenges to dispossess Jorgensen on the edge of the penalty area. Giorgio Chiellini - A steady performance from the towering defender, who wasn't asked a great deal of questions throughout. Simone Padoin - Provided a couple of crosses from the right hand side, but wasn't hugely involved and didn't provide a great deal of width either. Paul Pogba - The Frenchman popped up everywhere on the field, producing an excellent assist for Vidal's third goal and being involved in winning Juventus' first penalty. Andrea Pirlo - A sauntering performance from the veteran maestro, who made things look so easy with continual touches of quality and the ability to pick out any pass. Arturo Vidal - An exceptional hat-trick, with the Chilean dispatching two penalties expertly, before clipping a fantastic header in off the crossbar to secure the win. Kwadwo Asamoah - Offered plenty of pace and width in the first half and was a worthwhile outfit, but had less influence on the game as the match progressed. Carlos Tévez - The Argentine linked up well with Llorente, but was often thwarted by good blocks from the Copenhagen defence. Fernando Llorente - An excellent focal point for Juventus, as the ball stuck to the Spaniard brilliantly, allowing for him to bring other players into the game. http://markting10.nl/ Substitutions Claudio Marchisio - Managed to advance into the box a few times in the late stages, and provided the required fresh legs to keep things ticking over in midfield. Mirko Vučinić - Had a couple of snapshots in the last five minutes, but failed to test Wiland. http://markting10.nl/ FC COPENHAGEN Johan Wiland - Another admirable performance from the Swedish goalkeeper, who made a few decent saves and commanded his area well. Lars Jacobsen - Conceded the first penalty of the game, but was otherwise a hard-working example to the rest of his defence. Pierre Bengtsson - Didn't have a great deal to do again Padoin, but was torn apart whenever the likes of Vidal or Tevez would burst into the channel. Olof Mellberg - Finished excellently for Copenhagen's only goal of the game, firing beyond Buffon with a scissor-kick of sorts, before bringing down Llorente for a penalty moments later. Ragnar Sigurdsson - Unfortunate not to bundle home a couple of half chances in goalmouth scrambles, the Icelandic defender made a couple of good interceptions. Claudemir - Broke up play whenever possible, shielding his central defensive pairing as best as possible. Made one key tackle on the edge of the penalty area. Thomas Delaney - Didn't create anything for his side, but worked hard to try and win the ball back from a Juventus midfield that was relentless throughout. Christian Bolaños - Didn't have the same effect that he normally has from the bench, as the Costa Rica midfielder was substituted first due to being ineffectual. Nicolai Jörgensen - His pace was a useful outlet for Copenhagen, and at times the Dane managed to get beyond Chiellini, but generally he was bullied by the Juventus defence. Rurik Gislason - Was largely ineffectual as he didn't see much of the ball, but was positive whenever he gained possession and keen to beat his man. Youssef Toutouh - The forward was the only player to test Buffon all game, and showed raw talent in odd flashes, in a much better showing then when he faced Galatasaray. http://markting10.nl/ Substitutions Thomas Kristensen - He worked hard in the midfield third after coming on as a substitute, attempting to smother the influence that Pirlo was having on the match.
  18. JUVENTUS 3 - 1 COPENHAGEN Arturo Vidal (29'-PG) Olof Mellberg (56′) Arturo Vidal (60′-PG) Arturo Vidal (63′) November 27, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden) Attendance:‬ 39506‎ Vidal vital for Juventus Nov 27, 2013 Experience, character and determination are the key ingredients to achieving a big win in difficult circumstances. When it comes to pressurised situations, no one quite handles them as well as the Italians. The need to prevail drives them, stokes their fire within and forces them into fulfilling their potential. It was difficult but the objective was achieved Wednesday at Juventus Stadium -- Juventus defeated Copenhagen, 3-1. http://markting10.nl/ giornalaccio rosa dello Sport immediately called it the Vidal show. And it was just that. Arturo Vidal, it was thought, would be rested to avoid a possible yellow card that would see him miss the decisive match against Galatasaray. However, Antonio Conte, a coach who always lives in the now, opted to field his combatant and the result was a devastating one for the Danes. Whether deployed as a centre-back against Livorno, a job he performed so admirably well, or asked to attack, managing a hat trick Wednesday, there is little the King cannot do and do well. TEAMS QUALIFIED FOR LAST 16 • Atletico Madrid • Barcelona • Bayern Munich • Chelsea • Manchester City • Manchester United • PSG • Real Madrid However, to describe the Champions League win as a perfect team performance would be to indulge in hyperbole. Deployed in their usual 3-5-2, Juve were effective and intelligent enough to collect all three points as they dominated proceedings the entirety of the match. However, as a club that boasts perfectionists both within and from afar, there are still errors that can be avoided and manoeuvres that ought to be improved. http://markting10.nl/ A silly hand ball by Lars Jacobson led to a penalty. Until that point, Copenhagen and their organised defence made it difficult for the Old Lady to find a way through. The best opportunities for the Bianconeri came by virtue of Andrea Pirlo’s masterful work from midfield. His speed of thought and accurate execution created problems for Copenhagen on numerous occasions. However, Carlos Tevez proved a little stale, Paul Pogba a little tired whilst Kwadwo Asamoahs runs forward were pleasing to watch but rarely effective when it came to creating opportunities. Imprecision was another problem for the Bianconeri, needlessly losing possession when they fought so hard to recover it. Nonetheless, Vidal scored the penalty and Juventus were in the lead. A goal down, Stale Solbakken’s men returned from the half-time break with renewed energy and a more determined performance. They pressed higher up the pitch in hopes of impeding the way the Italians play the ball from the back and took care in keeping possession. http://markting10.nl/ Utilising their strengths, they made Conte’s men suffer. Juve’s handling of set pieces proved terrifying to watch. Too many scrambles in the box afforded Copenhagen opportunities they should not have been allowed. Slow to respond, the Bianconeri panicked in various occasions while the Danes rushed to exploit, their speedy reactions proving dangerous. However, replays suggest that the goal Olof Mellberg scored for the away side, came by virtue of a foul throw. Nonetheless, the character Juve showed after conceding was impressive. They pushed more aggressively, the tempo quickened and Fernando Llorente proved inspirational upfront, tirelessly holding up the ball and picking out teammates in hopes of piercing through the tough Danish defence. Practically always with his back to goal, he was strong enough to keep the Danes at bay as he looked to turn and strike or latch on to accurate crosses to score. http://markting10.nl/ His performances continue to improve and one only expects him to get even better. Meanwhile, it was lovely for fans to see Mirko Vucinic back on the pitch. He was afforded a few minutes against Livorno and allowed to play a bit role again Wednesday. Yet he barely needed any time to show off his masterful control of the ball and the creative edge he offers in the final third. Another penalty conceded by the visitors and one can argue that Mellberg was lucky not to have been sent off for stopping a clear goal-scoring opportunity. Nonetheless, Juve scored the second before Vidal grabbed a third only two minutes later to make him the most effective player of Conte’s tenure at Juventus. http://markting10.nl/ The Old Lady achieved her objective. Demonstrating superior technique and experience to handle these situations, they were the better team on the night and finally managed their first European win of the season. With Real Madrid doing their part by defeating Galatasaray, 4-1, (highlights suggest it ought to have been more) Juventus now only need a point in Istanbul to seal qualification into the next round. It should have been easier for the Italian champions, but better late than never.

JUVENTUS 3 - 1 COPENHAGEN Arturo Vidal (29'-PG) Olof Mellberg (56′) Arturo Vidal (60′-PG) Arturo Vidal (63′) November 27, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden) Attendance:‬ 39506‎ Initial reaction and random observations Nov 27, 2013 Three days ago, Arturo Vidal found himself as a makeshift central defender in Juventus' 2-0 win over Livorno. It didn't phase him one bit, showing us once again why he's just showing flippin' awesome. On Wednesday night in Turin, Vidal was the one leading the charge for Juventus in a must-win situation on the European stage. http://markting10.nl/ Top player? Yeah, he's one hell of a top player. Vidal's hat trick led the way as Juventus did exactly what they needed to do against FC Copenhagen — get all three points. Combine that with Real Madrid beating Galatasaray 4-1 in Spain, and Juve jumped from the bottom of Group B into the spot they want to be a couple weeks from now, one that sees them advance to the knockout rounds of the Champions League. JuventusFC ✔ @juventusfcen Vidal: It's the first hat-trick of my career and I'm taking the ball home with me! #JuveCopenhagen #UCL http://markting10.nl/ (How great is that quote, by the way? Arturo is just the best.) Juventus entered knowing they needed to win to stay alive in the Champions League. There were no crazy stipulations to try and figure out. You win, you stay alive. You lose, you're battling for a spot in the Europa League. But with Vidal putting penalties and Paul Pogba crosses away like an absolute boss, the only stressful time was when Juventus' defense brain farted for a second and allowed Copenhagen to level the score at 1-1 in the second half. Three Vidal goals, three points, one more game left to lock up qualification to the knockout round. http://markting10.nl/ OptaPaolo @OptaPaolo 3 - Prior to Arturo Vidal, the last Juventus player able to score a hat-trick in a #UCL game was Filippo Inzaghi (September 2000). Warrior. Juventus going on the road for their final game with everything to play for? The more things change, the more they stay the same. Felipe Melo, we're coming for you, my friend. Random thoughts and observations •Pay Arturo Vidal all the money. I know I've said it before, but it bears repeating. http://markting10.nl/ •There were no goals for Fernando Llorente on Wednesday night. He only had one shot total against Copenhagen, ya know. But this next sentence is also true: Llorente was one of Juventus' best players on the night. He absolutely battled all game — exemplified by his winning the penalty that led to Vidal's second goal. He just continues to build on each performance. That's what you want to see, and he's delivering even when he isn't finding the back of the net. •It had to be Olof Mellberg scoring Copenhagen's goal, didn't it? Yeah, thought so. •Andrea Pirlo: 94 touches, 85 percent pass success rate. If Vidal was leading the charge, Pirlo was driving the bus. Some of his passes were ones you only see a small number of players even try and fewer be successful with. For Pirlo, though, he makes them with the upmost of ease. A vintage kind of performance from a vintage kind of player. http://markting10.nl/ James Horncastle @JamesHorncastle Pirlo is making the Old Lady sing tonight. •Martin Caceres is such a luxury to have on this roster. And it's performances like he had against Copenhagen — seven tackles, more than twice as many as anybody on the opposing team — that makes me appreciate him even that much more. Some might have had negative thoughts pop into their head when they saw Andrea Barzagli wasn't called up due to injury. Not with Caceres around. Juve's defense didn't miss a beat. And bonus points for the celebration with Vidal on the Chilean's third and final goal. It's like their pretty good buddies or something like that... http://markting10.nl/ •Gigi Buffon had to make a save. Compared to what he did against Livorno on Sunday — hint hint: absolutely nothing — he was busy as hell. •Who's ready for some Turkey?
  20. JUVENTUS 3 - 1 COPENHAGEN Arturo Vidal (29'-PG) Olof Mellberg (56′) Arturo Vidal (60′-PG) Arturo Vidal (63′) November 27, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden) Attendance:‬ 39506‎ Juventus vs. FC Copenhagen: 6 Things We Learned Nov 27, 2013 Juventus hosted Copenhagen in the Champions League on Wednesday with the opportunity to take one step closer to the knockout stages of the competition. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri now know exactly what must be done in order for them to progress out of Group B. With Galatasaray awaiting them in Matchday 6, their season hinges on one game. After taking the lead through an Arturo Vidal penalty, dispatched in emphatic fashion, we learned the following things. http://markting10.nl/ Llorente Fast Becoming the Perfect Fit Next to Tevez Fernando Llorente continues to impress in a Juventus shirt. The Spaniard is now adapting to his strike partner's characteristics and enhancing Carlos Tevez's game as well as his own as a result. Llorente is starting to hold the ball up and look to combine with Tevez, feeding the Argentine with silky touches in and around the penalty area. http://markting10.nl/ Equally adept at linking with Tevez with feet, head or chest, Llorente is a joy to play with. Llorente will be encouraged by this blossoming partnership and look to improve even more over the coming weeks. Vidal Is the Best Central Midfielder in Europe Arturo Vidal put in a signature performance when it mattered most. http://markting10.nl/ The Chilean hauled Juve to a crucial victory with a hat-trick that included two thoroughly emphatic penalties and a superb, looping header. Vidal's all-action style allows him to contribute on both a defensive and attacking front, with his versatility allowing him to saunter all over the pitch. Vidal is almost certainly the most complete midfielder, but his stunning performances and the vast number of qualities he brings to a side surely make him the best on form in European football. http://markting10.nl/ Vidal has 10 goals in 19 matches in all competitions this season for Juventus, a sensational record for a midfielder that rivals Frank Lampard as one of the most prolific central midfielders around. Juve will hope that the 26-year-old can maintain this stunning form in order to qualify for the knockout phase of the tournament and beyond, as the Old Lady will fancy her chances of beating anybody over two legs when Vidal is in this stunning form. Juventus Are Favourites to Qualify Ahead of Galatasaray for the Last 16 Juventus are now in a position where they can expect to qualify for the knockout stage of the Champions League. http://markting10.nl/ With a win against FC Copenhagen, the Bianconeri have a two-point gap over third-placed Galatasaray, who will host the Italians in the final match of the group. So Antonio Conte's men will know that a draw in Turkey will be enough to take them through. After the experience of travelling to Donetsk at that stage last season and securing a win, avoiding defeat in Istanbul will be something that the Old Lady will be confident of doing. http://markting10.nl/ Roberto Mancini's side will go in search of victory, but with Juve's elite midfield, they can control the game and therefore silence the home crowd by taking the energy out of the game. Juve Are Extra Deep at Centre-Back, Meaning 3-5-2 Is Still the First Choice Juventus have tried several options at centre-back over the last couple of games with absences to the usual trio of centre-backs forcing Conte to utilise his squad. Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini are the preferred starters, but Martin Caceres, Angelo Ogbonna and even Arturo Vidal are excellent options to ensure that Conte can maintain his preferred 3-5-2 formation. http://markting10.nl/ Vidal has not been utilised in defence during his Juventus career, but with experience at Bayer Leverkusen and with Chile, Conte was confident that he could do a job there at Livorno last weekend. Likewise, Caceres and Ogbonna are two fine defenders who provide excellent back-up and more defensive options as wing-backs, meaning that Conte is well covered defensively. The defence is the foundation of this Juventus side and has been since Conte took the reigns, which looks to continue to be the case moving forward. http://markting10.nl/ Pirlo's Performances Need to Pick Up to Earn That New Contract Andrea Pirlo was far from poor, but the maestro was somewhat wasteful with his distribution on Wednesday in the Champions League. Pirlo struggled for consistency in his range and tended to make life awkward for his teammates with the pace and accuracy of passing. Pirlo's performances are not as crucial to the side due to other outstanding central midfielders, but if he is to earn a new contract, he needs to begin to showcase the Pirlo of old on a more consistent basis. http://markting10.nl/ When Pirlo is able to orchestrate Juve's possession and build their attacks, they are a better side that is able to pick their moments. Without Pirlo's ability to control matters, the game becomes more stretched and open, which could become a concern for Conte when he contemplates whether to back the Azzurri international to be the player to build the side around moving forward. Buffon Must Command His Area Better at Set Pieces Gianluigi Buffon is in the midst of a poor run of form, that is undeniable. http://markting10.nl/ With Juve eyeing up Newcastle stopper Tim Krul, according to the Express, it suggests that the Azzurri No. 1's performances are becoming a concern for Conte. Buffon is struggling to command his penalty area at set pieces and it was evident that Copenhagen were looking to target this weakness. Even though Olof Mellberg's equaliser came from a throw, with the trajectory a little too shallow to expect the goalkeeper to come and claim, FCK used other set pieces to unsettle Buffon throughout the match. http://markting10.nl/ Copenhagen tended not to rely on one strong centre-forward but instead crowded the space in front of Buffon, preventing him from getting a free run and jump at the ball. With Buffon unsure of his ability to fend off aerial challenges from the opposition, it pushes Juve's defence even deeper and leaves them vulnerable to being dominated by better sides. http://markting10.nl/ With Juve setting up so deep, better sides will be able to retrieve possession more regularly in the final third, which will subsequently lead to a more sustained series of attacks from the opposition. If Buffon cannot rediscover his confidence, it may be his last season between the sticks for Juventus.
  21. JUVENTUS 3 - 1 COPENHAGEN Arturo Vidal (29'-PG) Olof Mellberg (56′) Arturo Vidal (60′-PG) Arturo Vidal (63′) November 27, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden) Attendance:‬ 39506‎ Vidal hat-trick spearheads Juventus past Copenhagen Nov 27, 2013 Juventus earned their first Champions League victory of the season as they trounced Copenhagen 3-1 at Juventus Stadium on Wednesday evening. http://markting10.nl/ Arturo Vidal grabbed himself a hat-trick, rendering Olof Mellberg’s solitary strike in vain as the Bianconeri moved into second place in their group. Given the fact that only one point separated the Bianconeri from Galatasaray for second place behind Real Madrid, coach Antonio Conte opted to field his strongest line-up possible with burgeoning strike duo Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez spearheading the attack. The Bianconeri also welcomed Giorgio Chiellini back from his ban following a red card received versus Real Madrid on 23 October. Copenhagen naturally, were looking to absorb as much pressure and frustrate their opponents, hence the Lions didn’t venture much outside their own half for the opening portion of the first period. However, as they slowly grew into the match, spaces began to open up that the home side were keen to exploit, with opportunities on goal falling to Tevez and Paul Pogba during the early stages of the game. http://markting10.nl/ Still, as the last 15 minutes of the first half started approaching the match remained goalless, with the Bianconeri support making their growing frustration known as their team were unable to put anything past Johan Wiland despite their dominance in terms of overall possession. That is, until defender Lars Jacobsen committed a handball whilst mixing things up with Pogba and Vidal duly converted the subsequent penalty to put them ahead in the 29th minute. The goal appeared to lift a huge weight off the Old Lady’s shoulders as the fans also seemed to settle down a bit, with midfield maestro Andrea Pirlo having two opportunities in the remaining 10 minutes before halftime but was unable to really make anything out of either of his free-kicks. There were some nervy moments for Juventus immediately following the break, as a clearance by Martin Caceres struck defender Ragnar Sigurdsson but fortunately for the reigning Scudetto holders, the ball deflected wide. Still, despite the early scare, Conte’s troops were soon able to re-assert themselves on the game with Tevez and Llorente showing more signs of their growing understanding with some good link-up play only to have the Argentine’s effort balloon over the bar. http://markting10.nl/ Seemingly out of nowhere though, Olof Mellberg came back to haunt his former club in the 56th minute as he equalized from a goal mouth scramble to make it 1-1. However Mellberg went from hero to villain as he wrestled Llorente to the ground minutes later to concede a penalty.Vidal, as he had done nearly half an hour earlier stepped up and again duly dispatched the penalty to restore the Bianconeri’s advantage. The home side weren’t done yet–as the second goal spurred the home side again into life, with Pirlo pulling the strings as he set up Pogba, who in turn fed Vidal and the Chilean headed past a stranded Wiland to complete his hat-trick three minutes later. http://markting10.nl/ With victory assured, Conte opted to rotate the squad, sending on Mirko Vucinic, Claudio Marchisio, and Angelo Ogbonna to wrap things up. The result sets up a crucial clash between Juventus and Galatasaray, with the winner being the one to book their place in the round of 16.

JUVENTUS 3 - 1 COPENHAGEN Arturo Vidal (29'-PG) Olof Mellberg (56′) Arturo Vidal (60′-PG) Arturo Vidal (63′) November 27, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden) Attendance:‬ 39506‎ CL: Vidal hat-trick revives Juve! Arturo Vidal’s hat-trick gave Juventus a 3-1 victory over Copenhagen, so they’ll qualify with a point in Istanbul. Nov 27, 2013 The Chilean became the first Juve player to score a Champions League treble since Pippo Inzaghi in a 4-4 with Hamburg in September 2000 and ended their six-game winless streak in the tournament. As Galatasaray lost 4-1 to 10-man Real Madrid, the Italians will go through if they avoid defeat in the final game. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri were still without a victory in Group B and bottom on three points, but Copenhagen and Galatasaray had four, so a win here was absolutely essential. Andrea Barzagli, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Mauricio Isla and Sebastian Giovinco were sidelined, but Angelo Ogbonna still benched in favour of Martin Caceres. Copenhagen were without Daniel Braaten and held Juve to a 1-1 draw earlier this season. There were threats from the Juve ultras to go on ‘strike’ in the stands after the closure of the Curva in Serie A, but that was suspended and they got behind their team. Paul Pogba sprung the offside trap early on only to fire straight at Johan Wiland, while Carlos Tevez had a volley deflected wide and another charged down by ex-Juve defender Olof Mellberg. http://markting10.nl/ Juve were struggling to find a way through amid all the pressure, until Lars Jacobsen bizarrely chose to put out his hands and block an Andrea Pirlo cross for Pogba, as he seemed to not know where the ball was. It was an inevitable penalty and one that Arturo Vidal converted powerfully at the near post despite Wiland guessing the right corner. Pirlo had a couple of free kicks and Vidal didn’t get enough power to a curler to beat Wiland, while Pogba hit the side-netting. Straight after the restart, the Danes were dangerous as the ball ricocheted around the six-yard box until it was eventually bundled wide. Fernando Llorente held up a Kwadwo Asamoah cross for Tevez to blast over, then the Ghanaian’s effort was charged down in the box. http://markting10.nl/ Copenhagen grabbed an equaliser when a throw-in was catapulted into the box, the defence failed to deal with the high ball and ex-Juve man Mellberg fired in on the volley from 12 yards. Replays show Claudemir had his feet over the line, so it was a foul throw. However, Mellberg wrestled Llorente to the ground as the Spaniard tried to turn and shoot, leading to another penalty. Vidal stepped up again and this time sent the goalkeeper the wrong way. Chilean midfielder Vidal was star of the show, as he completed his hat-trick moments later with a stunning header. He hung in the air and looped a Pogba cross back across the face of goal into the far top corner. http://markting10.nl/ Gigi Buffon’s first save of the night was on 66 minutes, turning a sudden Youssef Toutouh snapshot round the post, but there was another mad scramble in the six-yard box that the Bianconeri struggled to clear. Juventus moved to a four-man defence and Wiland blocked a Pirlo free kick, while Vidal was granted a standing ovation with his late substitution. http://markting10.nl/ JUVENTUS 3-1 COPENHAGEN Scorers: Vidal pens 29, 61 and 63 (J), Mellberg 56 (C ) JUVENTUS: Buffon; Caceres, Bonucci, Chiellini; Padoin (Marchisio 69), Vidal (Ogbonna 83), Pirlo, Pogba, Asamoah; Tevez (Vucinic 81), Llorente COPENHAGEN: Wiland; Jacobsen, Mellberg, R Sigurdsson, Bengtsson; Gislason, Claudemir, Delaney (Amankwaa 77), Bolanos (Kristensen 60), Toutouh (Pourie 81); N Jorgensen Ref: Eriksson (SWE)

Nov 27, 2013 Arturo Vidal scored a hat-trick as Juventus moved from the bottom of Champions League Group B to second place courtesy of a 3-1 win over Copenhagen. http://markting10.nl/ The Chilean converted two penalties either side of Olof Mellberg's equaliser before nodding in a third to take his tally to five goals in the competition this season. The result, which eliminates Copenhagen, leaves Juventus second in Group B, two points clear of Galatasaray, whom they visit in their final game with just a point needed to progress to the knockout stages. Vidal's first penalty came shortly before the half-hour mark when Lars Jacobsen handled, but the hosts were momentarily stunned in the 56th minute when Mellberg levelled the scores against his former club. http://markting10.nl/ Midfielder Vidal claimed his second from the spot five minutes later following a foul by Mellberg before completing his hat-trick with a header two minutes later. The hosts made one change from the weekend as Leonardo Bonucci replaced Claudio Marchisio, while Claudemir and Christian Bolanos came into the Copenhagen side in place of Cesar Santin and Igor Vetokele, respectively. Paul Pogba wasted the first chance of the game in the seventh minute, firing a weak shot at Johan Wiland from the edge of the box after beating the offside trap. http://markting10.nl/ In the 29th minute, Juventus were gifted the chance to break the deadlock when Jacobsen inexplicably handled a cross while under pressure from Pogba and the referee had no hesitation in pointing to the spot. Vidal stepped up and slammed the penalty low to Wiland's right for his third successful spot-kick in this year's competition. Juve were dominant as the half wore on, Pogba rippling the side-netting from the edge of the area four minutes before the break. http://markting10.nl/ Copenhagen equalised 11 minutes into the second half when Mellberg hooked the ball home from 10 yards after the Juve defence failed to clear a long throw from the left. Parity lasted just five minutes, however, Mellberg's evening turning sour as he hauled down Fernando Llorente inside the area, Vidal once again sending the ball low into the bottom left-hand corner. http://markting10.nl/ Vidal put some daylight between the two sides two minutes later, hanging in the air at the far post to meet Pogba's left-wing cross and loop a header into the far corner. The remainder of the game proved uneventful with Juventus happy to sit back and soak up pressure to claim their first win of the campaign at a crucial time.
