Claudio Marchisio claims off-field problems affected Paul Pogba last season Former Juventus player Claudio Marchisio has expressed sympathy for Paul Pogba following his troubled first season back at the club. Pogba rejoined Juventus as a free agent last season, and the club had high hopes for his immediate impact. However, the midfielder was hampered by injuries, which prevented him from making the desired impact on the pitch. As a result, some Juventus fans are calling for his departure from the club. Despite the criticisms, Pogba signed a long-term contract upon his return and retains the trust of manager Max Allegri, who expects him to perform well. The reasons behind Pogba’s susceptibility to injuries in the last season remain somewhat unclear, but Marchisio believes that his off-field life and mentality may have had an impact on his performance. He said via Il Bianconero: “I already knew what happened to him. I am increasingly convinced that if an athlete is not well mentally, both performance and physique suffer. “Something really bad happened to him and his family, i’m not surprised it wasn’t the best. “We hope that in the summer he can recover physically but above all mentally, because he knows he has to give something more for this shirt: he came back for that, this year he didn’t succeed and we hope it will be the next one where we can revisit it on a very big scale.” Read more -> https://www.juvefc.com/claudio-marchisio-claims-off-field-problems-affected-paul-pogba-last-season/

I am happy and charged for this new adventure with you, until the end.” Read more -> https://football-italia.net/miliks-heartwarming-message-following-permanent-juventus-transfer-picture/

Zaniolo breaks silence on report linking him with a move to Juventus Nicoló Zaniolo has addressed the rumours surrounding a potential move to Juventus, six months after his departure from Serie A to join Galatasaray. Zaniolo, known for his exceptional technical abilities, is regarded as one of the most promising Italian players in Europe, distinguishing himself from other attackers in the national team. His unexpected move to Turkey in the January transfer window surprised many fans and pundits, but he has been proving his value at Galatasaray. Despite this, Juventus is reportedly interested in bringing him back to Italy. According to several reports, Juventus is considering including Weston McKennie as part of their bid for Zaniolo, a proposition that could be accepted. Zaniolo told TV Play as quoted by Football Italia “I am happy in Turkey, we’ll see what happens on the transfer market” . “You can never say never, we’ll see.” Read more -> https://www.juvefc.com/zaniolo-breaks-silence-on-report-linking-him-with-a-move-to-juventus/

OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL: Juventus sign Arek Milik outright from Marseille The first buy of the summer already has a locker at the Allianz Stadium. Arek Milik’s arrival at Juventus early into the 2022-23 season didn’t result in bombastic headlines or anything close to it. He was not a big-money arrival by any means, with a loan deal sort of a “prove it” kind of move considering that the club he had been at the previous 18 months, Marseille, were happy to let him leave. Ten months later, Juve are happy to keep him around a little while longer. Juventus announced Wednesday that they have made Milik’s loan move into a permanent one, agreeing to a deal with Marseille that could be worth up to €7 million total. The initial transfer fee will be €6.3 million with another €1.1 million in appearance-related bonuses. This is just ahead of the deadline that Juventus had to make the deal permanent at the end of the month, with the 29-year-old Milik signing a shiny new contract through 2026. Milik scored just one goal in his final 17 appearances in all competitions of the season, a span of time that goes all the way back to late January. In total, Milik scored seven goals in 27 Serie A appearances spanning nearly 1,600 minutes. What Milik’s role come the 2023-24 season is still very much a question mark on this point considering who may or may not be leaving Juventus over the next six weeks. As a depth option, having Milik around makes a whole lot of sense. But if Milik is going to be starting more games than he doesn’t, then that’s where Juve could be in trouble — and would likely be a sign that the guy who he was originally brought in to back up is probably not around anymore. That very much remains to be seen. For now, though, we know this: Milik is a Juventus player and 100% that. No more loan. It’s permanent now. Barcelona reject offer to sign Adrien Rabiot According to reputed Spanish journalist Gerard Romero, intermediaries offered Barcelona the chance to sign Adrien Rabiot in a Bosman move in the summer transfer window. The 28-year-old will become a free agent in a few days if he does not sign a new contract with Juventus. But the Catalan giants have turned down the opportunity to secure his services. Adrien Rabiot has reached another crossroads in his career a few years after leaving Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent. The French international joined Juventus in a Bosman move in July 2019. And while he endured a few turbulent seasons, he came into his own in the recently-concluded campaign. The 28-year-old contributed to 17 goals in 48 appearances, finding the back of the net 11 times while providing six assists. In addition, the player was a part of the French squad that reached the 2022 FIFA World Cup final. But Rabiot’s future is uncertain as his Juventus contract will expire in less than two weeks. And intermediaries have offered Barcelona the chance to sign him. Barcelona will enter the market for a midfielder in the summer transfer window. The Catalan giants are losing Sergio Busquets as a free agent next month. And while the veteran midfielder was not as imposing as he was in his pomp, his departure will leave a huge void in the Barcelona midfield. Giuntoli prepared to give up as much as 4m euros to join Juventus Cristiano Giuntoli is reportedly eager to leave his position as director at Napoli and pursue a career as the sporting director of Juventus. However, the transition is proving to be challenging. Giuntoli has achieved remarkable success in his role at Napoli, helping the team win the league, and he wants to make the move while his accomplishments are still fresh. He recognises that the opportunity to work for Juventus is a rare one, and if he misses it now, it may be difficult for him to find a similar chance in the future. Negotiations are underway between Giuntoli and Napoli’s leadership regarding his departure. According to giornalaccio rosa, Giuntoli is willing to forego the bonuses he earned for the team’s successful season and the salary he would have received in the final year of his contract. This would result in a savings of over 4 million euros for Aurelio de Laurentiis, the president of Napoli. Despite this, De Laurentiis remains reluctant to grant Giuntoli permission to leave. Juventus intensifying interest in Empoli’s Fabiano Parisi While we don’t truly know what’s going on behind the scenes at Juventus these days, the rumor mill is telling something: the Bianconeri intend to address the long-standing issue of not upgrading the fullback/wingback positions in a major way. We’ve already heard about Juventus’ reported interest in Leicester City’s Timothy Castagne. Now, Juve could very well do a little shopping a little closer to home. According to reports from Tuttosport and SportItalia’s Alfredo Pedullà, Juventus have been in talks with Empoli about the potential signing of Italian fullback Fabiano Parisi. Tuttosport has described the talks as “intensifying” over recent days, while Pedullà notes that Empoli will not stand in the way of the 22-year-old fullback leaving the club this summer. Allegri refuses to give up Chiesa in favor of longtime Juventus target As per customs, news reports have been linking Juventus with a move for their longtime transfer target Nicolò Zaniolo. The 23-year-old is a self-proclaimed Bianconeri supporter. But while the Turin-based giants have been keeping tabs on him, he ended up making the switch from Roma to Galatasaray last January after falling out with the Giallorossi management. Nevertheless, the attacking midfielder reportedly has a release clause in his contract that would allow him to leave Istanbul for around 30 million euros. But according to Il Messaggero via JuventusNews24, Max Allegri isn’t willing to sacrifice the services of Federico Chiesa in favor of signing Zaniolo. .... In fact, the source notes that the coach would be in favor of signing the Galatasaray man if it comes at the expense of Weston McKennie. .... FEDERICO CHIESA AFTER ITALY’S WIN OVER NETHERLANDS: “DIFFICULT YEAR FOR ME, HAPPY WITH HOW I FINISHED” Federico Chiesa has revealed that he is quite happy with how he has finished the season, which has been a fairly difficult one for the Juventus and Azzurri star. Chiesa was on the scoresheet for Italy, who picked up a 3-2 win over the Netherlands and finished third in the UEFA Nations League. ... “I’m happy with how I finished, it was a difficult year for me. Now I’m only thinking about the holidays, then from next season I’ll start preparing already from the summer training camp and I’m very happy about this.” Chiesa ended the campaign really well for Juve as well, as he contributed to four goals in the last five Serie A games and helped the Bianconeri to a 1-0 win over Udinese in the last game of the campaign. He can only hope that his future is sorted out soon and he gets back to his best. Giuntoli will join Juventus but the timing remains uncertain: The three hypothesis At the end of the day, Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli will leave the Southern City to join Juventus. But while the Bianconeri have an agreement in place with the 51-year-old, the timing of his passage from Naples to Turin remains mysterious. The executive who led the Partenopei towards a historic Scudetto title is looking for a new adventure. However, he still has one year left on his Napoli contract. According to La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport, Giuntoli is already an outcast at Napoli. He wasn’t even consulted prior to the appointment of Rudi Garcia as head coach following the departure of Luciano Spalletti. But although the director is willing to give up on around four million euros (between wages and bonuses) to join Juventus, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis could block his exit. So as the source explains, the Partenopei patron will decide Giuntoli’s fate. ... Either way, the report expects Giuntoli to land at Juventus either this summer or in 2024. Finally, the source proposes a third scenario, somewhere in between the first two. This one would see the sporting director arriving in Turin at the end of August, meaning that the Bianconeri would have to rely on Giovanni Manna as an interim director during the summer transfer market. Juventus ready to pounce for Milinkovic-Savic La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport claims that Juventus would make a move for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer should Adrien Rabiot leave on a free transfer. The 28-year-old Serbian midfielder is entering the final year of his contract with Lazio and is not interested in penning a new deal, pushing the club to find buyers for this summer’s transfer window. His price tag is around €30-35m, but his contract situation leaves the Biancocelesti on shaky ground. Juventus have long been fans of Milinkovic-Savic but were often pushed away by his price tag, something that shouldn’t be an obstacle this summer. Inter are also reportedly interested in the 28-year-old, but are seemingly focusing their efforts on Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi. As detailed by La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport, Rabiot’s departure would prompt Juventus to make a serious move for Milinkovic-Savic, finally reading to add the star Serb to Massimiliano Allegri’s squad. The Bianconeri could include some players in exchange to lower the costs of the deal, like Luca Pellegrini or Nicolo Rovella. Rabiot has still not decided whether or not to pen a new deal with Juventus but a decision will be made soon, with his contract expiring in less than a fortnight. How Giuntoli could leave Napoli for Juventus Cristiano Giuntoli’s priority is to leave Napoli to head to Juventus and a solution may have been found to resolve his contract situation, La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport reports. The 51-year-old director has been with the Partenopei since 2015 and played a key role in the club’s rise to their third ever Scudetto, helping to bring in stars like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Victor Osimhen and Kim Min-Jae. In the final weeks of the season, at the height of Napoli’s Scudetto celebrations, reports began to emerge discussing Giuntoli’s desire to leave Campania this summer in order to join Juventus, who are embarking on a new post-Andrea Agnelli era. As detailed by La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport via Calciomercato.com, Giuntoli has been unable to complete his move to Juventus due to his contract situation with Napoli. His deal with the club expires in 2024 and Aurelio De Laurentiis has no desire to let him head to Turin this summer. Currently, the situation is seeing everyone lose out; Juventus have hardly made significant progress in the transfer market due to their uncertain position, Giuntoli has no decision making power at Napoli and only found out about Rudi Garcia’s appointment through social media, and the Partenopei have been unable to appoint a replacement to start working on the next steps. Juventus are not willing to pay any compensation to free up Giuntoli, leaving the ball in the director’s court. He’s met with De Laurentiis several times but failed to convince him to break things off, but now a solution has emerged. The Napoli sporting director could offer to waive various financial aspects, including the salary of the last year of his contract, various add-ons linked to this season and general payments, which totals around €4-5m gross. It’s now up to De Laurentiis to make a decision. For now, the prospect of a mutual contract termination at the end of the summer cannot be ruled out still. Pogba: ‘No season tested me more than this one’ Paul Pogba was honest when reflecting on his miserable first year back at Juventus, discussing the difficulties of his various injuries. The 30-year-old French midfielder arrived amidst much fanfare last summer but it didn’t take long for things to go wrong. He suffered a knee injury during the pre-season tour in the United States and initially elected for a conservative treatment schedule, not wanting to risk missing the World Cup. This was despite the orders of various doctors, and the move backfired when the injury was exacerbated. Pogba underwent surgery in early September and didn’t return to action until late February. After making a few cameo appearances, Pogba suffered a muscle injury after taking a free-kick in training, an injury that forced him to the sidelines for almost a month. After finally returning in May, he showed brief flashes of his brilliance before his season ended early due to a hamstring issue. Which players will Juventus sign with money from Kulusevski’s sale to Tottenham? With Dejan Kulusevski set to join Tottenham permanently for €30m, Juventus are set to finalise Arek Milik’s purchase and have targeted Timothy Castagne, Davide Frattesi and Fabiano Parisi. Juventus and Tottenham have reached an agreement for Kulusevski’s permanent move to North London for €30m. The Serie A giants will use part of this money to strengthen the team in the summer. Talks with Leicester City for ex-Atalanta right-back Castagne have already started, according to Sky Sport and giornalaccio rosa, while Milik is set to return to Turin on a permanent transfer. Juventus’ €7m option to sign the Poland international permanently expired on June 10, but according to Sky Sport and Tuttosport, the Bianconeri have reached an agreement with Marseille for a similar fee. This new deal allows Juventus to sign Milik permanently by paying €1.5m immediately and splitting the remaining €5.5m in three instalments. According to Tuttosport, Empoli‘s Parisi (left-back) and Sassuolo‘s Davide Frattesi are also on Juventus’ radars, but several top Serie A clubs want the Italian midfielder and Inter appear to be in pole position for his signature. Juventus will not invest all the money from Kulusevski’s sale, needing more than €100m to balance the books this summer. Juventus is unwilling to meet Federico Chiesa’s demands to sign a new contract According to a new report, Juventus may consider selling Federico Chiesa in the current transfer window after the club rejected his request for a wage increase. Chiesa is widely regarded as one of the top players in the current Juventus squad, and he has earned the trust of manager Max Allegri. However, the attacker has faced challenges in regaining his best form following a serious long-term injury he sustained last year. Since Allegri’s return to Juventus, Chiesa has yet to hit his stride, but the club still believes in his abilities. Juventus is interested in extending Chiesa’s contract, which is set to expire in 2025, and preliminary discussions have taken place with his representatives. However, according to Calciomercato, Chiesa has expressed his desire for a net salary of 8 million euros, which represents a significant increase from his current earnings of 5 million euros per year. Unfortunately, the club is unwilling to meet this demand. The disagreement over wages could potentially lead to Chiesa’s departure from the Allianz Stadium before the end of the transfer window, as Juventus seeks to rebuild its squad for the upcoming campaign. Chelsea includes talented youngster in their offer for Vlahovic Chelsea is reportedly showing strong interest in signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as they seek to secure a new number nine for their team. Although Vlahovic has spent only one full season with Juventus, the team’s failure to qualify for the Champions League has raised the possibility of offloading him during this transfer window to generate funds. While Juventus intends to retain the player, Chelsea will need to present a compelling offer to convince Vlahovic to make the move to London. In an attempt to sweeten the deal, the Blues have included several players they wish to offload in their offer. The latest addition to their bid, according to Calciomercato, is Cesare Casadei. Casadei, a promising young talent, recently joined Chelsea from Inter Milan and made a notable impression as Italy’s standout player in the recent U20 World Cup. Bayern Munich offers a player to Juventus as part of their offer for Vlahovic Bayern Munich has displayed genuine intent in their pursuit of Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic, as the talented forward edges closer to departing Juventus in the current transfer window.
