After the game, Motta said to Sky Sports Italia: "This ends a wonderful era, we experienced those emotions and moments together, without forgetting anyone who was part of it from last season too. I want to publicly thank the fans for all they gave us, their support at home and away. "From today I am no longer the coach of this team, but these lads know that at any moment, they can count on me as a father, an older brother, a friend. "We always treated each other with respect, but with reciprocal respect. I gave my all for these lads, they did the same for me, that is why we achieved these results, but the way we achieved them was more important." ............ Juventus vs AC Monza: Preview and Prediction Juventus will take on Monza in their final Serie A match of the 2023/24 season, looking to end their campaign on a high. Juventus are winless in their last six league matches, and the home fans will demand a strong performance from the players when they welcome AC Monza to the Allianz Stadium in their final Serie A game of the 2023/24 campaign. The Bianconeri are currently third in the league table, and they will be hoping to finish the season strongly. It has been a disappointing campaign for a club of their stature, and they are expected to win major trophies every year. It will be interesting to see if the home team can give the fans something to cheer about. ............ Team News & Tactics Juventus Juventus are likely to shape up in a 3-5-2 formation against AC Monza, with Wojciech Szczesny in goal. The back three should feature Danilo alongside Federico Gatti and Gleison Bremer. As for the midfield unit, the in-demand Adrien Rabiot will look to add control and composure to the side alongside Fabio Miretti and Weston McKennie. McKennie will look to add creativity, goals and drive to the side, while Miretti will help out defensively. Timothy Weah and Filip Kostic will start on the flanks. They will look to contribute at both ends of the pitch. Finally, Dusan Vlahovic will lead the line for Juventus against AC Monza, with Federico Chiesa alongside him. Probable Lineup (3-5-2): Szczesny; Danilo, Gatti, Bremer; Weah, McKennie, Rabiot, Miretti, Kostic; Chiesa, Vlahovic AC Monza Probable Lineup (4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio; Birindelli, Mari, Izzo, Kyriakopoulos; Bondo, Gagliardini; Colpani, Pessina, Mota; Djuric Key Stats Juventus have drawn their last six matches in Serie A. Monza have failed to win their last eight matches in Serie A. 12 goals have been scored in the last five matches between Juventus and AC Monza. Monza have scored just five goals in their last six matches in all competitions. Juventus have conceded seven goals in their last six matches in all competitions. Player to Watch Federico Chiesa The 26-year-old winger has eight goals and two assists in Serie A this season, and he has been in impressive form. Chiesa produced an impeccable display against Bologna last time out, and he managed to get on the scoresheet. ............ Prediction Juventus 2-0 AC Monza Juventus have not been able to win games in recent weeks, but they are the favourites heading into this contest. They have the better team and they should be able to grind out all three points here. Meanwhile, the visitors are completely devoid of form and confidence right now. They are likely to come up short once again. Juventus have the quality in the final third to punish a vulnerable AC Monza defence, and a comfortable home win is on the cards. Calafiori Favors Juventus over Chelsea and Leverkusen Juventus would like to help Thiago Motta with some pieces he’s already familiar with, and Riccardo Calafiori has long been their top target to bolster the defense. They have the inside track over the competition, but a complete agreement hasn’t been struck at this stage, Alfredo Pedullà informed. ............. Juventus will have to disburse at least €25M plus add-ons for Calafiori, or insert a makeweight that could entice the counterparty. The defender would rather stay in Italy and move to Turin even though he has received interest from Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen. The Bianconeri offered him €1.8M per year plus add-ons in their opening offer and will have to improve it to come to terms. ............. Despite the insistent rumors, the Rossoblù are in a good spot concerning the defender, other than a resale clause they’ll have to give Basel. It’ll be interesting to see whether they’ll be practical, as it’ll still be a major profit, or put up fierce resistance to put a spoke in the wheel of the team that will steal their coach from under their nose. Juventus made more money winning the Coppa Italia than the English FA Cup winner The English Premier League and its other competitions typically receive a lot of publicity, and it seems they are the most commercialised in the world. This should ideally earn the teams competing in them more money, and the Premier League does. ............. However, the same cannot be said of their domestic cups, as Juve made more money from winning the Coppa Italia than Manchester United or Manchester City will make from winning the FA Cup. The report claims the Bianconeri scooped 7.5 million euros, plus 45% of the proceeds from the final, while the winner of the English FA Cup will make 4.5 million euros. ............. Juve will be eager to end the term by beating Monza this weekend, and the boys from Brianza will also want to get the win. Their manager, Raffaele Palladino, has now spoken about Montero, who played for Juventus just like himself and said: “I think he was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met in the world of football, it may seem paradoxical but it’s true.
