Official: Juventus confirm Scanavino’s exit Juventus confirm that CEO Maurizio Scanavino will leave the club ‘at the end of his term of office’ on November 7. Juventus confirmed in an official statement on Thursday that their CEO, Maurizio Scanavino, will leave the club next month. ............ Scanavino was appointed as the new Juventus CEO in January 2023 after the previous board of directors, including ex-President Andrea Agnelli, had resigned. Several sources claimed over the last few months that General Manager Damien Comolli would become the new CEO at the Allianz Stadium, but the name of Scanavino’s successor has not yet been officially announced by the club. ............ “Three years ago, I accepted this prestigious position at an extremely critical time – one not without risks for those entrusted with the responsibility of leading the Club,” Scanavino said. ............ “I will always carry with me the memory of unique emotions, lived and shared with the players, the coaches, the sporting directors, and the entire staff. These moments will remain indelible. “Today more than ever, I look to the future of Juventus with great confidence, and I am certain there will be many more important pages to write.” ............ . Juventus confirm UEFA proceedings opened into Financial Fair Play breach Juventus are expecting a penalty from UEFA over Financial Fair Play violations, which could mean the restriction of new players in 2026-27. The Bianconeri confirmed the potential breach in a statement tied to the release of their balance sheet for the financial year ending June 30, 2025. ............ On September 18, Juventus received confirmation from UEFA that a proceeding had been opened against the side for the potential breach in the three-year period from 2022-23 to 2024-25. The outcome of that proceeding is expected for spring 2026 and could give rise to a possible financial sanction, not believed to be a large amount. ............ Juve reiterate there are no further significant violations of the UEFA Financial Fair Play rules. They also kept to the Squad Cost Ratio of 80 per cent for 2024, and are on track to fit within the limit of 70 per cent come 2025. ............ . Juventus can’t let Yildiz contract become a long-term saga Kenan Yildiz remains a topic of hot discussion in Juventus circles, but discussions and negotiations over a new and improved contract extension shouldn’t be allowed to drag on and become a long-term saga, writes Alfredo Pedullà. ............ As things stand, there is a small difference between Yildiz’s requests and the amount that Juventus are currently offering to pay the Turkish talent on a proposed new deal. ............ But this doesn’t make much sense: What does a gap of around €700,000 or even €1m mean to a club of Juventus’s stature when we’re talking about a player who has already shown his talent and his commitment and importance to the club? What’s more is that Yildiz has made it clear he is keen to stay on in Turin. There had been rumours circling in January, with agent Jorge Mendes claiming that there had been nine-figure offers for the Juve star the summer prior, pointing to an inquiry from Premier League side Chelsea. ............ . Market duel brewing between two European giants interested in Vlahovic Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is currently running on an expiring contract, while Barcelona remain hot on his trail. ............ Barcelona have been monitoring the situation closely, as they consider the former Fiorentina star as one of the main candidates to replace Robert Lewandowski. ............ The same source also reveals that Bayern Munich remain in the fray. Even if the Bundesliga champions were to maintain Harry Kane’s services, they may want another striker capable of either replacing him or partnering him up front. The Bavarians signed Nicolas Jackson on a hefty loan (€16.5 million) from Chelsea last summer, but it remains to be seen if they will decide to pay another €65 million to keep him beyond the current campaign. ............ . Out-of-contract Juventus stalwart open to signing renewal Juventus defender Daniele Rugani could earn himself a new contract, as he’s now expected to play a key role at the back. The 31-year-old is the club’s longest-serving outfielder, as he’s been on the club’s books since 2013, and joined the club’s ranks in the summer of 2015 following his exploits at Empoli. ............ In the first few weeks of the season, the Italian centre-back remained in the dugout, but his opportunity came when Gleison Bremer suffered an injury setback. With the Brazilian expected to miss a couple of months of action, Igor Tudor resorted to Rugani, who responded with a solid display at the back in the stalemate against Milan. ............ The Lucca native is currently running on an expiring deal, but the management is seriously considering handing him an extension, especially if he continues to deliver admirable displays. The source adds that the player would be happy to put pen to paper. This would also raise doubts over the player’s future and allow him to take the pitch with a clear mind. ............ .
