  1. Juventus could have two shirt sponsors for the Club World Cup Juventus is set to finish this season without a shirt sponsor after their previous contract with Jeep expired during the summer. The Bianconeri had hoped to secure a new sponsor for the season, but as of now, they have been unable to reach an agreement. ............ However, Juventus is hopeful that they can resolve this issue before the season ends, with a solution expected to be in place before the Club World Cup takes place in the summer. Jeep is reportedly interested in returning as the club’s primary sponsor and could feature on the shirt during the Club World Cup. This would mark the brand’s return to a prominent position on the Juventus shirt after their previous partnership ended. ............ Nevertheless, Jeep is not the only company in talks with the club, as the report suggests that Juventus could potentially share the space with Visit Detroit. This dual-sponsorship arrangement would provide the club with much-needed revenue, although it is noted that Jeep may not be able to offer the same amount of financial backing they once did annually. ............ . 2. Lecce aiming to poach ‘wasted’ Juventus wonderkid Lecce have reportedly set their sight on Juventus teenager Vasilije Adzic who hasn’t been able to find space with the first team this season. The 18-year-old joined the Bianconeri last summer, completing a switch from Montenegrin champions, Buducnost Podgorica. The club’s scouts were certainly impressed by the attacking midfielder who showed composure and maturity beyond his years. ............ Adzic only made a few substitute appearances for the first team, and was eventually added to the Juventus Next Squad. The teenager has been producing fabulous performances in Serie C, playing a vital role in Massimo Brambilla’s side who are pushing for a playoff spot. In a recent interview, Milan legend Dejan Savicevic described his young compatriot as an ‘extraordinary talent who belongs in the top flight. ............ Lecce are hoping to sign the attacking midfielder on loan next season. The Turin-based newspaper adds that this could be the right move for the youngster who is ‘wasted’ in Serie C. ............ With Juventus and Lecce set to share the pitch on Saturday night, this could be an inviting opportunity to launch early talks. For their part, the Bianoneri are interested in the Giallorossi’s bomber Nikola Kristovic. ............ . 3. Capello has his say on if Tudor should remain Juventus manager next season Igor Tudor is currently focused on guiding Juventus to a strong finish this season, while also aiming to make a case for being appointed as the club’s permanent manager. ............ Confidence remains high within the club that there is still enough time to salvage the campaign. Tudor is viewed as a figure who could bring stability and structure, with the potential to make a significant impact in the final stretch. His familiarity with the club’s culture and environment, having previously been associated with Juventus, positions him as a candidate who understands the unique demands of the role. Nevertheless, speculation continues over who will lead the team next season, with reports linking Antonio Conte to a possible return. ............ Fabio Capello has weighed in on the debate, expressing his belief that Tudor deserves to continue if he achieves Champions League qualification. Capello stated: “If Tudor manages to qualify for the Champions League, I believe he can still lead this Juve, because he knows the environment and knows what is needed to do well. The players follow him, and he can be the next Juventus coach.” ............ . Read more -> https://www.juvefc.com/capello-has-his-say-on-if-tudor-should-remain-juventus-manager-next-season/
  4. Tudor is prepared to make a tactical change that could help Vlahovic Igor Tudor has not managed to get the best out of Dusan Vlahovic in the two matches he has coached Juventus, continuing a trend set by the club’s previous two managers. Vlahovic has long been a key player for Juventus, serving as the team’s main goalscorer. However, despite his importance, he has struggled to find form under Tudor, much like under previous management. ............ Currently unable to score, Vlahovic’s goal drought is a concern for the team. Tudor, keen to rectify this, is considering tactical adjustments to help the striker get back on track. Tudor is looking to incorporate Kolo Muani into the team alongside Kenan Yildiz, with the Frenchman expected to play behind Vlahovic in his new tactical setup. ............ Tudor hopes that this change will create more opportunities for Vlahovic and make it easier for him to end his goal drought and start contributing to the scoreline once again. Although Vlahovic is a talented striker, it’s clear that he requires proper service and a system that facilitates his strengths in order to score consistently as expected. ............ . 5. Chiellini is set for a new and more powerful role at Juventus Giorgio Chiellini, the iconic former defender, now plays a key role off the pitch at Juventus following the conclusion of his playing career, which ended after a stint in Major League Soccer. Chiellini is widely regarded as one of the most beloved players in Juventus history, having earned immense admiration from fans through his consistent commitment and passionate performances. ............ Since returning to Turin, Chiellini has been serving as the Head of Football Institutional Relations — a position that allows him to act as a bridge between the club’s sporting side and its organisational structure. His presence has already made a significant impact, reinforcing Juventus’ identity and values within the wider football landscape. ............ However, his responsibilities could be expanded shortly. Juventus may be preparing to elevate Chiellini into an even more influential position at the club next season. The report claims that the Bianconeri could consider him for a major leadership role, possibly “the president, the vice, the CEO, the general manager, the sporting director or another role to be invented.” ............ . 6. Porrini explains the difference between Motta and Tudor Igor Tudor is trying to achieve what Thiago Motta could not after taking over as the manager of Juventus for the remainder of the season. Juventus is desperate to salvage their season, having lost momentum in their pursuit of a top-four finish. At the beginning of the campaign, the club had high hopes of competing for four trophies, but now, no one is discussing the possibility of winning any silverware. Instead, the best-case scenario for the Bianconeri is securing a Champions League spot, a goal that is far from guaranteed. ............ Both managers have different approaches to winning matches, and former Juventus player Sergio Porrini has commented on the distinction between them. Porrini, who followed Juventus under Motta and has also observed them in the games Tudor has managed, provided his insight on the change. ............ Porrini explained: “Honestly, I struggle to evaluate after just two games. In recent seasons, Juve has often led to hasty judgments when things seemed to be going in the right direction. For the moment, the difference in the new coach’s attitude compared to his predecessor stands out. Motta was very calm, while he is hot-blooded. Working together all week, the players absorb some of the coach’s character traits and bring them onto the pitch. Tudor knows the environment very well and his choice for these last few months is perfect.” ............ . Read more -> https://www.juvefc.com/pundit-explains-the-difference-between-motta-and-tudor/
  7. Lele Adani reveals what makes Tudor a very good manager Igor Tudor has collected four points from his first two matches as Juventus manager and will be determined to secure more before the season concludes. His appointment was made with the belief that he could guide the Bianconeri back into the UEFA Champions League for the next campaign. ............ Many pundits and former Juventus players have expressed support for Tudor’s appointment, suggesting that he possesses the qualities needed to transform the team and restore its competitive edge. Among those offering their endorsement is Lele Adani, who has praised Tudor’s modern approach to the game. Adani stated: “Obviously, I totally distance myself from the word verticality because it is something overused to the point of not giving it value. He is a complete coach, he tries to spread out on the outside, there are the right movements, he involves the inside players and the wingers, he plays modern football and has all the credentials, the knowledge and the experience.” ............ . 8. Pecci explains why he expects Tudor to remain the Juventus coach next season Igor Tudor has been entrusted with a handful of matches to rescue Juventus’ season, and he will undoubtedly be hoping to secure the managerial role on a long-term basis. The Bianconeri still have significant work to do in order to finish within the top four, and their focus remains firmly on achieving that objective. ............ There is a growing sentiment that, had Tudor been appointed earlier in the campaign, he might have delivered even greater progress with the squad. ............ Pundit Eraldo Pecci believes that Tudor will remain in charge beyond the current season. Although Juventus have been strongly linked with a move for Antonio Conte, with speculation suggesting a reunion may be on the cards once the season concludes, Pecci is confident that Tudor is the right man for the job. Pecci stated: “Juventus’ approach was perfect, also helped by the adrenaline that a newly arrived coach gives you. There was definitely more vertical play. In my opinion, Tudor will be Juventus’ coach next year too because he’s someone who can work, because he’s a Juventus fan, there are all the conditions to stay on that bench.” Tudor’s early tenure has already shown signs of tactical evolution, with increased directness and energy in their play. These qualities, combined with his understanding of the club’s identity and culture, have positioned him as a credible candidate to continue beyond the interim period. ............ . 9. Giuntoli has already held talks to sign Europa League hero Cristiano Giuntoli, Juventus’ sporting director, met with a key decision-maker at Atalanta in January to discuss the possibility of signing Lookman. Juventus have a long-standing reputation for wanting to acquire the best talent in Serie A, and they currently consider Lookman to be one of the most promising players in the league. Atalanta is reportedly willing to sell, but they are said to have set an asking price of €60 million for the Nigerian international. This high valuation could lead to a drawn-out negotiation process, much like the one Juventus experienced when they signed Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta in the past. ............ . 10. Two reasons why Juventus identified Sandro Tonali as prime objective – Newcastle asking price revealed Juventus have reportedly pinpointed Newcastle United star Sandro Tonali as their main transfer target for the summer. Around this time last year, the Bianconeri were already pursuing Teun Koopmeiners. ............ Juventus consider Tonali the missing link in the middle of the park. As the source explains, the Bianconeri can currently rely on the physical strength of Khephren Thuram, as well as Manuel Locatelli’s leadership and Weston McKennie’s pace. However, their midfield still lacks the quality that Koopmeiners and Douglas Luiz were expected to add. ............ So with the two summer signings failing to deliver the goods, and Nicolo Fagioli shipped out to Fiorentina, Juve are sorely missing some technical skills in the centre, and that is why Tonali has been identified as the right choice for the role, at least according to the source. ............ However, the Italy international wouldn’t come cheap, as the Magpies splashed around 60 million euros to buy him from Milan in 2023, so a similar figure would be required, estimates the source. . 11. Journalist names Juventus duo that didn’t improve with Tudor: “Two big problems” Juventus may have found a new lease on life following the arrival of Igor Tudor, but a couple of players have yet to display any sort of improvement, argues Riccardo Trevisani. ............ With Tudor now in charge, the Bianconeri showcased some encouraging signs, whether in the 1-0 win over Genoa at home, or the 1-1 away draw against the in-form Roma. The team is now displaying a bigger desire to go forward, dominate the action, and win duels. ............ “We are seeing a different spirit, but the two big problems that were there before have persisted: Koopmeiners and Vlahovic,” said the Italian journalist during his appearance on Pressing. “Juve was solid and even a bit ugly before. If there is one thing that the team has always had before the collapse at the hands of Atalanta and Fiorentina, it was solidity. Then it has always been a bit ugly. The team does not play heavenly football.” Since his arrival, Tudor insisted on restoring Vlahovic as a starter, thus dropping Randal Kolo Muani to the bench. ............ . 12. Roma boss Ranieri predicts where Juventus will finish in Serie A table Roma head coach Claudio Ranieri expects Juventus to improve their current spot under the guidance of Igor Tudor. ............ On Sunday, Roma managed to extend this impressive run by clinching a draw at home against Juventus. Manuel Locatelli gave the Bianconeri the lead with a stunning volley in the first half, but Eldor Shomurodov replied shortly after the interval, latching onto the rebound. ............ Nevertheless, Ranieri was impressed by what he saw from his former employers, tipping Juventus to finish the campaign in the Top Four and achieve their main objective by securing Champions League football next season. “We knew that Tudor would bring mentality and determination, as well as vertical play,” said the former Leicester City boss in his post-match interview. “They didn’t surprise us, they were good, they will fight for a place in the Champions League. I bet that this team will finish in the Top Four.” ............ “They scored against us in our best moment. Before that, there was a good save from Svilar and a good opportunity for us. “It was good to score the equalizer straight away, but then again, when you understand that you can’t win, the important thing is not to lose. The draw was a right result.” . Read more -> https://www.juvefc.com/roma-boss-ranieri-predicts-where-juventus-will-finish-in-serie-a-table/
  13. Roma 1 - Juventus 1 - : Initial reaction and random observations For the second time in as many weekends with Igor Tudor becoming Juventus caretaker manager, the Bianconeri walked into halftime with a 1-0 lead in their back pocket. Eight days earlier, it proved to be a lead that Juve held, albeit against a Genoa side that has struggled to score even with their improved form. But Sunday night saw Juventus trying to hold that one-goal lead against one of the hottest teams in Serie A and a much more difficult opponent on the whole. ............ After a very strong first-half showing at the Stadio Olimpico highlighted by Manuel Locatelli’s stunning first goal of the season, Juventus couldn’t repeat that same kind of performance coming out of halftime. Combine that with Roma manager Claudio Ranieri making a bold change to begin the second half, and the man he brought on to enable his change from a 3-4-2-1 to more of a 4-4-2, Uzbek striker Eldor Shomurodov, to make an immediate impact and snatch Juve’s lead right away from them. It turned out to be a total tale of two halves for Tudor’s squad, as they couldn’t muster much of anything going forward in the second half and dropped points in a 1-1 against Roma in the Italian capital. A win could have enabled Juventus to pull even with third-place Atalanta on points after the boys from Bergamo lost to Lazio — one of the many teams competing with the Bianconeri for a Champions League spot — before things kicked off at the Olimpico. ............ Is a draw against a team that has not lost in Serie A since mid-December and won seven straight league fixtures coming into Sunday night a bad thing? No, not really. But having the lead and then seeing it go up in smoke during a moment of poor defending — you know, something we saw plenty under Thiago Motta — just adds a little more salt in the wound of a game in which Juve were 1,000% the better side in the opening half. Ranieri and Roma did what they needed to do to get back in the game. And you know what? Juve had no real answer to it. That’s what’s probably the most disappointing thing to come out of this one. Juventus were playing quite well against Roma, and then it just disappeared. ............ RANDOM THOUGHTS AND OBSERVATIONS Every single picture we have available to us of Roma’s goal shows absolutely nobody in a Juventus shirt outside of Michele Di Gregorio around Shomurodov for his goal. Just a total brain fart at the back on a set piece after Di Gregorio made a very good initial save. ............ For as good as Pierre Kalulu was pretty much all night against Roma, not keeping track of Shomurodov on the goal turned out to be one of the few moments of bad defensive play from Juventus. Kalulu did just about everything right ... expect staying with his man on the goal. It’s a shame that the goal came in that way because Kalulu really was a standout pretty much all night. His sliding block in the first half that could very well have been a goal? Fantastic! His run on what led to Locatelli’s goal? Also fantastic! How he defended for pretty much the entire game? Pretty damn good. But the marking of Shomurodov was not great — and ultimately that was one of the things that cost Juve a couple of points. Locatelli’s goal was about as well as he could have connected on that. It’s funny because Khephren Thuram had a chance from nearly the same kind of spot earlier in the first half and hit a dribbler right at Svilar. Wondering if Locatelli reminds KT of that over the next day or two. Since Khephren seems like such a chill dude, I say go for it. Who said Juventus wouldn’t possess the ball as much under Tudor as compared to Thiago Motta? Juve had nearly 90% possession through the first five minutes. That figure went all the way down to 85% through the first 10 minutes. That Mile Svilar save on the Nico Gonzalez header right outside the six-yard box ... that was a pretty damn good one. Hoping for some sort of New Manager Bounce with Vlahovic being happy that Motta was fired has not worked out as well as we might have thought could happen. He had a relatively tough game against Genoa last weekend, and this was even more of a struggle Sunday night. Tudor will likely keep rolling it out there, so it’s up to Vlahovic to try and make something out of his final seven games of the season (and probably as a Juve player). ............ Artem Dovbyk vs. Renato Veiga was a clash of two very large young men and they very much looked like it as the final minutes approached. Them boys are gonna be tired come the morning. ............ Randal Kolo Muani touched the ball nine times in his 22 minutes of game time. Not great. (And, I will add, before the last couple of minutes of stoppage time, it was sitting at four touches, which also isn’t great.) Teun Koopmeiners recorded nine passes after coming on. Two of them were key passes, which was a team-high total. Not sure if that’s good on Koopmeiners or a reflection of just how much Juve struggled to consistent create chances in the final third of the field. Or maybe it’s both. Quiet game for Kenan Yildiz on the whole. I liked it better when he was scoring goals and doing lots of fun things like he did last weekend. ............ 14. Tudor explains new Juventus approach, but makes honest admission: “Looks more enjoyable than it really is” Juventus coach Igor Tudor reveals the biggest tactical change the team underwent upon his appointment. ............ Tudor has thus far delivered in this regard, with the players looking more determined to win duels and fight for every ball. Nevertheless, the 46-year-old’s introduction didn’t only bear a new mentality, but several key tactical changes that were noticeable on his debut against Genoa and once again on Sunday in the 1-1 draw against Roma. “We wanted to push those defenders forward, but also not allow the counter-attack, so that’s all about the preventative marking, especially against a side like Roma,” said Tudor in his post-match interview. “It was not to be taken for granted that we’d have this attitude; we were fired up and had the right mentality from the start.” ............ “We need to concede fewer goals from corners, though it was not helpful to be missing players like Bremer, Gatti and Cabal. “When I arrived, I just relied on the method of defending from set plays that they already had in place, but we certainly need to work on this and improve. ............ “I’ve only been here for 10 days, so it is wonderful, but we have to focus on our work and enjoy it as much as we can too. “It can be tough in this job, because you are all about the details and the focus, you don’t have much time to enjoy it. Perhaps from the outside, it looks more enjoyable than it really is.” . Read more -> https://www.juvefc.com/tudor-juventus-approach-honest-admission/

  16. Juventus and AS Roma share the spoils in frustrating night in Rome Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw by AS Roma this evening, as Igor Tudor failed to secure victory in his second match in charge. ............ He has the trust of his players, and they started the game with confidence, pushing the action towards the AS Roma goal. After Nicolas Gonzalez and Stephan El Shaarawy both missed opportunities, Manuel Locatelli opened the scoring for the Bianconeri. It was an excellent strike, sending a message to his critics that he was ready to help Tudor succeed. ............ The game played out as tactically anticipated, with Claudio Ranieri determined not to allow Juventus an easy win over his team. He introduced Eldor Shomurodov at halftime, and the striker equalised less than five minutes after the restart. ............ 18. Tudor: ‘Ranieri achieved a miracle, made history in football’ Juventus coach Igor Tudor explains his choices for the trip to Roma and hails the achievements of Claudio Ranieri. ‘He performed a miracle and made history in the football world.’ ............ “Roma are in a good period of form with a run of victories, they have strong players, are well-drilled, playing on home turf. However, we worked well this week and have to prove ourselves here this evening,” Tudor said. ............ There are only three points between Roma in seventh place and Juventus in fifth going into this clash, because the race for European places is extraordinarily tight. It had not been the case a few months ago, but Ranieri has taken his team to an incredible run of seven consecutive Serie A victories. “Ranieri performed a miracle in England with Leicester, but that is not all he achieved in his career. I know how well everyone speaks of him, he made history in the football world.” ............ “I’ve been here for basically a week now, I chose these players today, but everyone is important and often those who come off the bench are decisive. We want to do things right in both phases of the game,” noted Tudor. ............ “You set a hierarchy one game at a time, make choices based on form and characteristics, what you see in training and during the match. 19. Roma vs Juventus probable lineups: Soulè faces his past, Koopmeiners dropped Juventus coach Igor Tudor will reportedly drop Teun Koopmeiners from his starting lineup in Sunday’s big showdown against Roma. The Croatian enjoyed a winning debut against Genoa at the Allianz Stadium, but will now face a much sterner test on the road, as he takes on the league’s most in-form club. ............ Dusan Vlahovic will lead the line once more, while Kenan Yildiz naturally maintains his role as a left-attacking midfielder following his exploits against Genoa. But this time, the duo won’t be joined by Koopmeiners, as he makes way for Nico Gonzalez. ............ Timothy Weah is tipped to start as a right wingback, while his compatriot Weston McKennie takes the opposite flank. ............ Manuel Locatelli and Khephren will be deployed in the double pivot once more, while the defence picks itself in the absence of Federico Gatti, as Pierre Kalulu, Renato Veiga and Lloyd Kelly are the only remaining options. ............ Roma Probable XI (3-4-2-1): Svilar; Celik, Mancini, Ndicka; El-Shaarawy, Kone, Paredes, Angelino; Soulè, Pellegrini; Dovkyk. 20. Roma vs. Juventus match preview There’s a big six-pointer going down at the Stadio Olimpico this weekend, and Juventus are very much in need of points under their new manager. For the second consecutive weekend coming out of the first international break of 2025, Juventus are set to face a team who have benefited greatly from a managerial change that took place in the month of November. Last Saturday, it was a Genoa side that brought in a former Juve midfielder, Patrick Vieira, and turned a potential relegation battle into a comfortable mid-table standing. Now, it’s a former Juve manager who has done wonders to turn around his club’s season that was in absolute shambles before he took control. ............ Claudio Ranieri has worked his magic at Roma, the club that he came out of retirement to try and save from potentially being the biggest name in quite some time to even be in a discussion about a relegation fight based on how the first three months of the 2024-25 season. Roma were four points above the relegation zone when the 73-year-old Ranieri took over for Ivan Juric, and since then have gone. ............ That is who Juventus are up against this Sunday night at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, as Igor Tudor faces quite a measuring stick to see just where he’s gotten this squad in his second week in charge after taking over for Thiago Motta. With eight games to go, this is one of Juventus’ biggest games remaining on the schedule — and that is even before you look at the form guide and see just how well Ranieri has been able to get Roma going after a brutal start to the season that resulted in not one but two different managers losing their jobs within the span of a couple of months. ............ Going to the Olimpico is never easy. That’s always the truth no matter what kind of form Roma is in or who their manager at the time is named. It’s a tough place to play basically every single time. There’s also this, though: With Bologna playing second-place Napoli on Monday night in arguably the biggest fixture of Matchday 31, Tudor’s Juve has the chance to both jump into fourth place as well as put the heat on the team that currently occupies the final Champions League spot 24 hours before they take the field at the Renato Dall’Ara. As tough as facing the red-hot Roma will be, it’s also a chance to take advantage of the absolutely brutal schedule that Bologna have to close out the season. After facing Napoli on Monday night, Bologna have the following teams on the schedule over the following four weeks: Atalanta, Inter, Udinese and finally Juventus in a massive May 4 showdown. But Sunday night will be the first test of Tudor’s short time as manager. That’s obvious. You have one team that has very much embraced and rode the wave of a new manager and worked their way up the standings because of it. You’ve got the other team who is now in their second game under a new manager and, in his own words, “rebuilding” things together coming out of a turbulent international break. ............ TEAM NEWS The big injury news coming out of last weekend’s win over Genoa was that Federico Gatti will miss a month due to a compound fracture in his heel. It probably hurts about as much as you think it does. But there is some good injury news to report heading into the trip to the Italian capital: Both Andrea Cambiaso and Douglas Luiz returned to training during the week and will be available to face Roma. They both, however, will only be options off the bench, according to Tudor at his pre-match press conference. Backup goalkeeper Mattia Perin will also miss Sunday’s game due to a muscle injury he picked up in training, although he has still reportedly traveled with the team to Rome. ............ JUVENTUS PLAYER TO WATCH There were a handful of good things to come out of Tudor’s debut as Juve manager. but one of the most noticeable was the simple fact of players being used in positions in which they were meant. That was somewhat true when it comes to Nico Gonzalez. He was back on the right wing like he is meant to be ... but as a wingback? Yep, as a wingback — and it was pretty OK. ............
