How McKennie lost weight after strong Tudor warning at Juventus Weston McKennie reveals how Juventus coach Igor Tudor put diplomacy aside to warn the USMNT midfielder he needed to lose weight. ‘This was the first summer I didn’t mind taking my shirt off at the pool!’ ............ “I had a long pre-season. My coach back at Juventus, Tudor, really put pressure on me and said, ‘Hey, you’re getting older, and your body’s not gonna be able to bounce back from games the way that you used to be able to, and you need to cut down some weight, and that’s the only way you’re gonna be involved with this team.’ “So I put my head down and worked like I usually do. Got on a diet. Don’t snack as much anymore. If I do, it’s healthy snacks, and I work out more often. So that’s what I’ve been doing, a lot of running.” ............ It turns out that Tudor’s advice helped McKennie more than just with his performances on the pitch, as it had some unexpected benefits off the field too. ............ . Juventus could bring back Scudetto-winning defender to Serie A Kim Min-jae established himself as one of the finest defenders in the world during his time at Napoli, playing a pivotal role in helping the Italian club secure the Serie A title in 2023. His commanding presence at the back and ability to read the game earned widespread praise, ultimately attracting the attention of top European clubs. Following this success, the South Korean international was sold to Bayern Munich, where he has remained since his transfer. However, Min-jae’s experience in Bavaria has been inconsistent. Despite his undeniable talent, he has struggled to secure a regular starting position and has frequently been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga side. ............ Kim Min-jae is set to return to Serie A, with Juventus among the clubs reportedly interested in signing him. The Bianconeri have recently been dealt a setback with the injury of Gleison Bremer, who requires surgery and will be sidelined for an extended period. This development has created an urgent need for defensive reinforcements, and Min-jae has emerged as one of the primary targets for Juventus’ January transfer plans. His experience in Serie A, combined with his defensive capabilities, makes him a natural candidate to strengthen the backline and provide stability for the remainder of the season. ............ While Juventus are closely monitoring his situation, the next few weeks are expected to bring more clarity regarding Min-jae’s future. For now, the South Korean defender remains focused on regaining his place in Bayern Munich’s first XI, demonstrating professionalism despite the uncertainty surrounding his career. If a move to Juventus materialises, it would not only address the immediate defensive concerns of the Bianconeri but also represent a high-profile return to Italy for a player who has already proven his quality in Serie A. ............ . Juventus is linked with a move for exciting Real Madrid youngster Juventus have reportedly set their sights on Club World Cup hero Gonzalo Garcia as the Bianconeri continue to work diligently to strengthen their squad. The Spanish attacker has spent the past few seasons dedicated to breaking into the first team, demonstrating resilience and commitment in pursuit of regular playing time. His efforts were rewarded this summer when he emerged as a surprise hero at the Club World Cup, earning recognition for his performances and maintaining the trust of head coach Xabi Alonso. ............ Juventus are reportedly eager to capitalise on this situation, showing a clear interest in securing Garcia’s services. According to several reports in Spain, the Bianconeri see Garcia as one of the most promising young players available and are prepared to pursue a deal. The club is believed to be considering multiple players from Real Madrid in their efforts to reinforce their squad, with Garcia being among the top targets. ............ Despite the enthusiasm from Juventus, convincing Garcia to leave Real Madrid and begin a new chapter in Turin may present a significant challenge. The prospect of relocating to a new country, adapting to a different league, and integrating into a new team are all factors that the Spanish forward will need to weigh carefully. ............ . Juventus is one of the clubs following Manchester United’s outcast Kobbie Mainoo could see his wish to leave Manchester United fulfilled in the January transfer window, as he continues to struggle for a place in the first team. The midfielder is one of the promising talents promoted from the club’s academy in recent years and has impressed when given opportunities to play. However, in recent months, he has been sidelined, as Ruben Amorim has prioritised other players in the squad. ............ Several clubs are keeping a close eye on the 20-year-old, with Juventus among those interested in securing his signature. The Bianconeri view him as an exciting young talent who could strengthen their midfield options. Mainoo had hoped to leave on loan during the summer transfer window to gain more game time, but Manchester United refused his request. He continues to push for a move in search of regular football. ............ The Allianz Stadium could offer Mainoo the platform to play more consistently, especially given the current challenges in Juventus’ midfield. Teun Koopmeiners has struggled for form, and Weston McKennie appears likely to leave, creating space for a new arrival to make an immediate impact. A transfer for Mainoo would provide both fresh energy and depth, while allowing him to develop further in a team competing at the highest levels domestically and in Europe. ............ . Juventus is eyeing a loan move for Real Madrid man Juventus have shown a clear interest in signing Endrick and may pursue a loan move for the Brazilian in January, with Real Madrid reportedly open to the possibility. Injuries have severely limited Endrick’s opportunities this season, preventing him from demonstrating his abilities to manager Xabi Alonso. In his absence, Real Madrid have coped effectively, with Kylian Mbappe leading the attack and Gonzalo García operating as the second-choice striker. This situation has restricted Endrick’s chances of playing regularly, leaving Juventus to explore a potential move to provide him with valuable game time. ............ Juventus are actively monitoring Endrick’s situation and are prepared to make an approach when the January transfer window opens in over two months. Real Madrid is reportedly open to allowing the young forward to leave temporarily to gain regular first-team experience and continue his development. For Juventus, the challenge will be to convince Madrid that Endrick will not merely sit on the bench at the Allianz Stadium. The Spanish side will only sanction a temporary move if they are satisfied that the player will be given the opportunity to feature consistently and develop further in competitive matches. ............ Juventus currently possess several established attackers in its squad, which means the club must carefully plan how Endrick would be integrated into the team. It will be crucial to demonstrate that there is a defined pathway for him to earn playing time rather than being limited to sporadic appearances. ............ . Juventus star heavily criticised after his country’s latest defeat Dusan Vlahovic began the season strongly at Juventus and has remained one of their standout performers, but a recent dip in form has affected both his club and international performances. Serbia boasts a squad with some of Europe’s finest talent, yet they are facing significant challenges in their World Cup qualifying campaign. Despite high expectations, the team is struggling to secure the results needed to qualify for back-to-back World Cup tournaments. ............ Serbia suffered a shock home defeat to Albania in their most recent qualifier, leaving them four points behind the Albanians despite having a game in hand. ............ Vlahovic, alongside Aleksandar Mitrović, leads the line for Serbia, but the pair have struggled to form a productive partnership. The Serbian media has criticised both players for their inability to convert chances, highlighting their struggles in front of goal as a major factor jeopardising the team’s qualification hopes. The lack of chemistry and inefficiency in attack has drawn particular scrutiny following the home defeat, intensifying the spotlight on Vlahovic as one of the team’s key figures. ............ The setback against Albania prompted the resignation of Serbia’s national team manager, leaving the squad to prepare for their next match without a head coach. This interim period adds further pressure on the players, who must now secure a crucial victory before a new managerial appointment is made. The combination of leadership uncertainty and underperformance in attack underscores the challenges Serbia faces in salvaging its qualification campaign. ............ .

The Brazilian defender went under the knife on Tuesday morning, October 14, 2025, for an arthroscopic selective meniscectomy on the medial meniscus of his left knee. The procedure was performed by Dr. Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet at the Hôpital Privé Jean Mermoz, with Juventus team doctor Paolo Cavallo in attendance. ............ The 28-year-old centre-back had picked up the injury earlier this month and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks, though no official recovery timeline has yet been provided by the club. ............ . Pavan questions if Juventus rushed Bremer back from injury too soon With Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal both struggling with new injuries after returning from ACL setbacks, questions have arisen over whether Juventus may have rushed their reintegration into the squad. Both players missed large parts of last season due to serious knee injuries and only returned to action this term. The club initially exercised caution, ensuring neither defender was hurried back into competitive matches. Bremer, for instance, did not feature at the Club World Cup despite appearing to be fully fit, as Juventus continued to prioritise a measured recovery plan. ............ Massimo Pavan has raised concerns about the circumstances surrounding Bremer and Cabal’s recoveries. He said, “We need to understand why both Bremer and Cabal, both recovering from serious injuries, have relapsed. Was it a hasty return or just an unfortunate coincidence? The problem is serious.” Pavan’s comments highlight the ongoing debate regarding the management of elite athletes returning from significant injuries, where the balance between patience and urgency can be delicate. ............ . Zidane backs Tudor to do well at Juve and calls for patience Zinedine Zidane has expressed confidence in Igor Tudor’s ability to succeed as the manager of Juventus and has urged patience as he continues to settle into the role. Tudor has been in charge of the Bianconeri since March and, while his team has shown promise, they have recently struggled, failing to win five consecutive matches. This run of results has placed additional pressure on him to turn performances around following the international break. ............ Despite these challenges, Zidane believes Tudor has the potential to succeed at the Allianz Stadium. He emphasised the importance of allowing the manager sufficient time to implement his vision and build cohesion within the squad. Tudor’s previous experience at Marseille, where he managed in a complex environment, demonstrates his capability to lead a team in high-pressure situations, according to Zidane. ............ Zidane said, “I had a good relationship with him at Juventus. He was a good player and knew how to be friends with everyone. I’m not surprised to see him on the Juventus bench; a few years ago he did well in a complex environment like Marseille. He could be the right man to bring back trophies for Juventus, but it takes patience and time. His Juventus has character and unity, he just needs to have faith.” ............ . Juventus is targeting former Inter Milan man to replace Bremer Juventus may be exploring new defensive options across Europe following the injury setback suffered by Gleison Bremer, which could keep the Brazilian out of action for a significant period. The defender recently underwent surgery, and although the club hopes for a quicker recovery this time, his past medical history suggests a cautious approach is necessary. The last time he required surgery, Bremer was sidelined for nearly a year, an absence that had a notable impact on the team’s defensive structure. ............ With his current injury concerns, the club is reportedly considering a move for Milan Skriniar as a potential solution. The Slovakian defender has long been admired by Juventus, who closely monitored him during his time at Inter Milan before Paris Saint-Germain ultimately secured his signature. His familiarity with Serie A and proven experience at the highest level make him a strong candidate to step into a leadership role within the defence if required. ............ Skriniar now plays for Fenerbahce, and Juventus are believed to be keen on bringing him back to Italy. The club views his presence as a stabilising influence, especially while Bremer recovers. Given his prior success in Italian football and tactical adaptability, Skriniar could seamlessly integrate into the Juventus system, offering both experience and reliability. ............ . Juventus emergency remains in midfield, not at centre-back Juventus could be tempted to dip into the January transfer market to find a replacement for the injured Gleison Bremer, but the Old Lady’s biggest issue remains in midfield, and not at centre-back. ............ Now, the current dialogue is that the Bianconeri will look to find a replacement or back-up to the Brazilian in the January transfer window, when, in reality, Juve’s real emergency remains in midfield. ............ Juventus should have strengthened their midfield department by July, and now their reduced set of options in the centre of the park could become even more of an issue, particularly if Teun Koopmeiners continues to underwhelm. As for Juventus’s defenders, there is still optimism that Bremer and Juan Cabal will return before long. ............ . Juventus is targeting another Bayern Munich teenager Following the success of Kenan Yildiz, Juventus appear ready to continue their strategy of recruiting promising young talent from Bayern Munich, with reports suggesting that Adin Licina could be the next player to make the switch from Bavaria to Turin. The Bianconeri are believed to be closely monitoring the highly rated teenager as they seek to replicate the formula that brought them Yildiz, who has quickly become one of their most exciting young players. ............ Juventus signed Yildiz from Bayern Munich after the forward failed to receive assurances of regular first-team opportunities, a move that has since proven highly successful. The Bianconeri are now pursuing Adin Licina, a 2007-born attacker widely regarded as one of the standout prospects in Bayern’s academy. Licina has already attracted internal discussions at Bayern about future first-team involvement, but given the club’s challenging pathway from youth football to the senior side, Juventus are hopeful it can convince him to make the move. ............ Juventus are believed to have already begun efforts to secure Licina’s signature, viewing him as a player who could significantly strengthen its squad in the long term. Their youth development strategy has evolved in recent years, focusing on acquiring elite young players capable of contributing at the highest level within a few seasons. ............ . Kenan Yildiz Juventus contract stance 'revealed' as Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal learn transfer answer Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal have been handed a potentially fatal blow in their efforts to sign Juventus starlet Kenan Yildiz, according to a report. ............ The Turkey international could expect a significant salary increase in England's top flight, and Juventus' €100m (£87.1m) valuation is also unlikely to deter the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United. However Yildiz 'only wants' to stay at Juventus, who are now growing optimistic about their chances of signing him to a new contract with a significant salary increase. ............ There is optimism in the Juventus boardroom that the former Bayern Munich youngster will sign a renewal, which would see his terms extended until 2030 with the option of an additional 12 months. ............ . Three changes to expect at Juventus following latest Bremer setback On Monday, Juventus fans were shocked to learn that Gleison Bremer had to undergo surgery following a medical consultation in Lyon. The Brazilian felt pain in his previously operated left knee during last month’s clash against Atalanta. But while the supporters were anticipating his return against Como, it turned out that the defender had torn his meniscus. ............ The Brazilian will miss more than one month of action. Some believe he might be out until Christmas. ............ Since the start of the season, Tudor has been practically fielding four centre-backs in his lineup. In addition to the three-man defence, Pierre Kalulu has been deployed as a right wing-back. ............ Therefore, we will likely see Kalulu returning to the backline, and rotating with Federico Gatti, Daniele Rugani and Lloyd Kelly. On the other hand, Joao Mario will finally have to step up and claim the right wing-back slot, while Weston McKennie and Andrea Cambiaso represent alternative options, perhaps with Filip Kostic covering on the left. Due to the centre-back shortage, Tudor will likely promote Juventus Next Gen defender Pedro Felipe. ............ While the club has been primarily focusing on recruiting a new midfielder and a wing-back in January, Juventus could also enter the market for a centre-back. ............ . What Bremer’s knee injury means for Juventus: Missed games and potential replacements Juventus have confirmed that Gleison Bremer requires surgery on a torn meniscus in his left knee, which leaves head coach Igor Tudor with a bit of reshuffling to do ahead of the return of Serie A action this weekend. ............ Assuming that Bremer is out of action until the November international break, Tudor will have to make alternative arrangements for games against Como, Real Madrid, Lazio, Sporting CP and the Derby della Mole against rivals Torino. ............ Bremer had already been left out of the starting line-up for the last two Juventus matches, which gives some indications as to how Tudor could deal with this enforced absence. As things stand, Tudor has four senior centre-backs fit and available in Federico Gatti, Pierre Kalulu, Lloyd Kelly and Daniele Rugani. Gatti is considered the like-for-like replacement for Bremer, and is likely to be the go-to option in the middle of Tudor’s back three. The injury to Bremer is also expected to bring an increased number of opportunities for Rugani, who has only featured for 97 minutes so far this season. ............ .
