    Superlega? No, ma occhio alla ‘Super Champions League’ Il progetto Superlega pare destinato a tramontare (sebbene non in via del tutto definitiva) e al suo posto prende forma la Super Champions League. Lo stesso numero uno della UEFA sta negoziando in prima persona l’affare. Fino ad ora, secondo quanto riferito dal quotidiano spagnolo ‘AS’, Ceferin avrebbe già avuto una “piacevole conversazione” con i presidenti di Real Madrid, Fenerbahce, Manchester United, PSG e Juventus (ricordiamo che Agnelli ricopre anche la carica di presidente ECA). La paventata “minaccia” di una possibile creazione di una Superlega, che avrebbe inevitabilmente indebolito i campionati nazionali e le competizioni UEFA hanno accelerato questo iter. Ceferin starebbe spingendo moltissimo infatti per rimodellare la formula dell’attuale Champions League. ............ Come riportato sempre dal giornale iberico “la UEFA sarebbe intenzionata a rimodulare i piani della Champions per come è oggi e si prepara a dare ai club più grandi d’Europa un ruolo più potente nel nuovo torneo e cerca un sistema di distribuzione dei ricavi che li manterrebbe soddisfatti”. L’inizio eventuale della competizione che è ancora in fase del tutto embrionale, potrebbe vedere la luce già a partire dal 2023. Un anticipo rispetto alla tabella di marcia imposta da Ceferin al 2024. Restano da definirsi comunque diversi “paletti” di non poca importanza. In primis la gestione dei diritti tv, in secundis la struttura e il numero delle partite. Infine, aspetto non del tutto trascurabile, la ripartizione dei proventi dai vari sponsor. In questo quadro che potrebbe delinearsi in maniera meno ombrosa, i campionati “locali” andrebbero a perdere ulteriormente importanza rispetto all’ipotetica Super Champions League. Resterebbe intatta la struttura dei campionati nazionali (forse una diminuzione da 20 a 18 squadre partecipanti) ma ci sarebbe meno appeal, soprattutto nell’ ottica delle coppe nazionali.
