Nov 7, 2020 Lazio President Claudio Lotito gave a typically outlandish interview defending their interpretation of COVID-19 tests. ‘Bacteria doesn’t mean infectious.’ The controversy erupted when some of Lazio’s players – specifically Ciro Immobile, Lucas Leiva and Thomas Strakosha – tested positive for two consecutive UEFA Champions League games, but negative for the Serie A encounters with both Torino and Juventus. There was further confusion on Friday when ‘rapid response’ tests in Rome’s laboratory came up positive, but the same tests were processed at a lab in Avellino and were negative. “I told you, it’s like a magic trick, what even is positive?” Lotito said in an interview with La Repubblica newspaper. “Positive means contagious, right?     Luis Enrique: "Morata é un altro da quando é tornato alla Juve" Il commissario tecnico della Spagna Luis Enrique non ha avuto esitazioni nel concedere ad Alvaro Morata la convocazione in nazionale dopo aver affermato che l'attaccante si è trasformato alla Juventus. Morata ha giocato l'ultima volta per la Spagna in una partita di qualificazione a Euro 2020 contro la Romania lo scorso novembre, apparentemente cadendo in disgrazia da allora. Ma il 28enne è tornato alla Juventus in prestito dall'Atletico Madrid a settembre, e da allora ha segnato sei gol in sette partite per i bianconeri. Morata ha segnato 17 gol in 33 presenze con la Spagna dal suo debutto nel novembre 2014, ma la sua coerenza a livello di club è stata messa in dubbio in passato. Tuttavia, Luis Enrique ha seguito da vicino le prestazioni di Morata alla Juve e ha visto abbastanza dati positivi per giustificare il suo ritorno in rosa.     Segna sempre Morata: il centravanti che risolve problemi Ancora una volta Alvaro Morata: la doppietta della punta spagnola, che arriva in occasione del 100esimo gettone con la maglia della Juventus, risulta decisiva per il prezioso successo in terra ungara ai danni del Ferencvaros così come lo era stata nella partita d’esordio, nella delicata trasferta di Kiev. La prestazione in Champions League, dove Morata ha svolto la funzione di grimaldello che prima scardina la resistenza della difesa avversaria (a dir il vero a tratti fragile e imbarazzante) e poi mette in cascina il risultato con il gol del due a zero, si aggiunge a quella di corsa e volontà sfoderata contro il Barcellona, dove, seppur nella sconfitta amara, era stato il migliore della squadra. ....... L’amore per la Juventus, infatti, traspare in ogni giocata, nell’abnegazione sul rettangolo del gioco e persino nell’altruismo eccessivo che lo porta a metà del primo tempo, solo davanti al portiere a cercare l’assist per Cristiano Ronaldo; è un giocatore che ha raggiunto anche una maturità mentale e una tranquillità evidenti, come rivela a fine partita nelle interviste parlando del suo “percorso”: “Non ho più vent’anni – afferma – tutto quello che ho passato in carriera mi è servito per imparare, ora sono più completo”. Ciro Immobile, Lucas Leiva and Thomas Strakosha were prevented from travelling by UEFA ahead of the Aquile’s trip to Zenit St Petersburg in the Champions League on Wednesday, but questions continue from there. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Lazio underwent a further round of testing at the Campus Biomedico in Rome for the players that have been stopped by SynLab and UEFA, with three positive tests coming back. .......
