L'esonero fa seguito a taluni comportamenti tenuti durante e dopo la finale di Coppa Italia che la società ha ritenuto non compatibili con i valori della Juventus e con il comportamento che deve tenere chi la rappresenta. Si conclude un periodo di collaborazione, iniziato nel 2014, ripartito nel 2021 e terminato dopo le ultime 3 stagioni insieme con la Finale di Coppa Italia. Lo allontanano si, se non trovano un accordo per risoluzione consensuale, che conoscendo Allegri equivale cmq ad un allontanamento, ossia lo pagheranno fino all'ultimo secondo di contratto.
