Rugani, Dragusin, Demiral e Chiellini?

Cristiano Ronaldo should’ve opened the scoring in the opening two minutes, but he incredibly only glanced the ball from six yards when allowed a free header on Danilo’s cross from the right. Piotr Zielinski also wasted a big chance by firing over, but Ronaldo made up for it with the opening goal. Most of the credit goes to Federico Chiesa, who twisted and turned between two defenders down the right with a mazy run and rolled across for the simple finish from 12 yards. Fabian Ruiz ballooned over from a very promising position, while Juve had penalty appeals for Chucky Lozano wiping out Chiesa at the by-line, an incredible decision bij the referee who denied the penalty. After the restart, Gigi Buffon had his gloves stung by Giovanni Di Lorenzo, who was in acres of space down the right from an Insigne pass. Buffon was called into action again, beating away a Fabian Ruiz snapshot from outside the area. Dybala made his comeback with a bang. He gathered from Rodrigo Bentancur just inside the box, turned and a left-foot shot was remote-controlled into the far bottom corner. Napoli got a penalty when Giorgio Chiellini brought down Osimhen and Insigne converted by sending Buffon the wrong way. It was his second consecutive spot-kick against Juve, having missed the first three. This Week 3 fixture was originally meant to be played on October 4, but cancelled when Napoli were ordered not to travel by the local health authority following COVID cases. Both clubs are locked together in joint fourth place, so this could be a potentially decisive result in the race for a Champions League spot. Juve are in crisis after losing to Benevento and only drawing 2-2 with Torino, but Weston McKennie, Arthur and Paulo Dybala all return after they were dropped for the Turin Derby due to breaking lockdown rules with a party at the American’s house. However, they are not in the starting XI and there are even reports Dybala’s knee pain has flared up again. Despite taking the lead early in the Derby della Mole, they found themselves behind Torino seconds into the second half before needing a late equalizer to rescue a point while virtually bidding farewell to any chance of catching Inter Milan at the top of the table. Speaking after the game, coach Andrea Pirlo was at a loss to explain his side’s errors which cost them all three points. He saw his side create plenty of chances to win the game, but poor finishing at times combined with fatal mistakes defending ensured they had to come from behind to grab a point. TORINO - JUVENTUS 2-2 ....... Federico Chiesa 13' Antonio Sanabria 27' Antonio Sanabria 46' Cristiano Ronaldo 80' 29th Matchday Saturday, april 3rd 2021 - 6:00 p.m. CET 5:00 p.m. UK time - 4:00 p.m. GMT Allianz Stadium - Turin Referee: Michael Fabbri Torino 2-2 Juventus: Tight Turin Derby Apr 3, 2021 Cristiano Ronaldo thanked VAR for his Juventus equaliser, but Torino were the more impressive team in the exciting 2-2 Derby della Mole. There was so much riding on this Derby della Mole, as Toro were one point clear of the relegation zone and Juve saw even their top four status at risk after a shock home defeat to Benevento. Juve had three chances in the first five minutes. Alvaro Morata forced a save with Salvatore Sirigu’s legs from close range, then Federico Chiesa hit a half-volley over and also stung Salvatore Sirigu’s gloves. Chiesa broke the deadlock when he completed a give-and-go with Morata, although the Spaniard didn’t seem entirely aware he was meant to pass it back, as the former Fiorentina man sprinted onto the ball and nutmegged Sirigu from a tight angle. Wojciech Szczesny got down to parry a Rolando Mandragora rocket with one hand, but the ball went up rather than away from goal, so Antonio Sanabria pounced to nod in the rebound. The second half was only 13 seconds old by the time Torino managed to turn the game around completely thanks to two Juve errors. Dejan Kulusevski made a horrible back-pass and Sanabria then surprised Szczesny at the near post, bending back the goalkeeper’s gloves. Another Ronaldo header went over and he thought his goal was disallowed when Giorgio Chiellini flicked on a Federico Bernardeschi header and CR7 nodded in from point-blank range. However, after a long wait to check all the positions, VAR ruled it was onside and Juve equalised. Moments after that, it was almost a turnaround, as Rodrigo Bentancur’s strike was fingertipped onto the base of the upright by Sirigu.

JUVENTUS - LAZIO 3-1 Joaquin Correa 14' Adrien Rabiot 39' Álvaro Morata 57' Álvaro Morata 60' (penalty) 26th Matchday Saturday, march 6th 2021 - 8:45 p.m. CET 7:45 p.m. UK time - 6:45 p.m. GMT Allianz Stadium - Turin Referee: Davide Massa Pirlo: 'Juventus started 20 minutes late' Mar 6, 2021 Andrea Pirlo thanked his Juventus players for their ‘professionalism and spirit of sacrifice’ after fighting back to beat Lazio 3-1, even if ‘we started the game 20 minutes late.’ It was a poor start, Joaquin Correa giving Lazio the deserved lead, cancelled out by an Adrien Rabiot scorcher, until Alvaro Morata bagged a brace in three minutes. “We started badly and conceded with our poor backpass, but then there was a strong reaction from the whole team, despite missing so many players. “We didn’t let our heads drop, we started to step up the tempo and that was the most important thing,” Pirlo told DAZN. The Bianconeri transformed their line-up with Cristiano Ronaldo benched, Danilo in midfield for a 4-2-3-1 formation and Federico Bernardeschi at left-back. “We thought about Tuesday’s game, we have some players who have barely trained, like Cuadrado and Arthur. We knew tonight was like a final, some had to play in new positions and showed great professionalism and spirit of sacrifice. “The most important thing was the three points. Danilo was ready to work in central midfield, while Bernardeschi deserves all the compliments for playing as a left-back. “What I liked the most was the reaction of the team, as we didn’t accept being behind in such a delicate and important game, so it was that spirit I appreciated.” ....................... This is a head-to-head for the top four, although Lazio have some catching up to do after sliding into seventh place, as the Biancocelesti, Napoli and Juve all have a game in hand. Both sides have to make changes, as Matthijs de Ligt, Giorgio Chiellini and Paulo Dybala are still injured, with Leonardo Bonucci not at 100 per cent, while Rodrigo Bentancur has COVID-19. Cuadrado returns to the starting XI after his injury problems, with Federico Chiesa on the other wing, but the big change is upfront, where Ronaldo is not at his best. Andrea Pirlo opts to rest CR7 in favour of Morata alongside Dejan Kulusevski. Gianluca Frabotta sits out a ban, leaving Pirlo with limited options, especially ahead of the Champions League decider with Porto, so Under-23 midfielder Nicolò Fagioli had been suggested to start. Instead, Federico Bernardeschi goes on the right, with Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot in the centre, resting Weston McKennie. ......................... The Bianconeri were feeling tense after the 1-1 draw at Verona, which saw them slide 10 points behind leaders Inter, albeit with a game in hand. Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Juan Cuadrado, Arthur and Paulo Dybala were already out of action, then Matthijs de Ligt pulled out in the warm-up, making way for Gianluca Frabotta. Spezia missed Riccardo Saponara, Tommaso Pobega and Federico Mattiello, but M’Bala Nzola had his first start since January 11. ................. Kulusevski hesitated on a Ronaldo through ball, allowing Martin Erlic to charge down the finish. VERONA - JUVENTUS 1-1 Cristiano Ronaldo 49' Antonin Barak 78' .... ..... 24th Matchday Saturday, february 27th 2021 - 8:45 p.m. CET 7:45 p.m. UK time - 6:45 p.m. GMT Bentegodi Stadium - Verona Referee: Fabio Maresca Pirlo blames lack of Juve 'experience' Feb 27, 2021 Andrea Pirlo blamed a lack of experience for Juventus fumbling the lead in a 1-1 draw with Hellas Verona. ‘They press you all over the pitch.’ The Bianconeri dropped points again and now risk falling a long way off leaders Inter, as Cristiano Ronaldo’s opener was cancelled out by an Antonin Barak header. Juve started very aggressively, but seemed to run out of steam as the game wore on, and Wojciech Szczesny fingertipped two efforts onto the woodwork. “It’s disappointing, as we knew it would be a difficult and hard-fought game. We managed to take the lead, which was the most difficult part, then didn’t keep hold of it,” Pirlo told DAZN. “There are these small details that unfortunately young players don’t understand can make the difference and lead to points. “When you are in front, you must try to bring these games home. We were missing a lot of experienced players, so the younger elements didn’t understand the way the match was going. I asked Cristiano and Alex Sandro to speak to them and make their voices heard, but it wasn’t enough.” Missing so many defenders and using Alex Sandro as a centre-back, did Pirlo think about moving to a four-man defence? “I thought about moving to four at the back, but I looked to the bench and didn’t really have the options to change. I saw some players who were starting to get tired after the hour mark, but that was to be expected. ................. Continue -> http://bit.ly/3bJlg81
