Voglio aprire un topic per mandare un grandissimo incoraggiamento a Totò Schillaci che è ricoverato a quanto pare in terapia intensiva per condizioni di salute purtroppo non buone. Ha lottato negli scorsi anni contro un brutto male e sembrava aver passato il periodo più buio ma a quanto pare la vita spesso non lascia stare in pace le persone. Ci sono profondamente legato considerando che ha vestito le maglie della mia città natale, Messina, della Juve ovviamente, ed è stato protagonista anche in Nazionale nel 90. Nel pomeriggio la famiglia ha smentito le notizie sulla sua scomparsa che si erano diffuse, scrivendo una nota su Instagram dicendo che Totò è in condizioni stabili monitorato dell'equipe medica. Non ho capito se è a Palermo. Forza Totò, non mollare!

Chi ha vissuto le "notti magiche" del 1990 non puó che provare un profondo affetto per Totó Schillaci. Speriamo che ce la faccia. Ha solo 59 anni.

...nei miei ricordi quel mondiale fu lunghissimo. Forse perché la passione che coinvolse tutta l'Italia non finì con la fine di quell'avventura: i campetti erano sempre pieni di ragazzini e le partite dei tornei di paese di quell'estate 1990 avevano un pubblico mai visto, né prima né dopo. Quell'entusiasmo per me ha sempre avuto e sempre avrà un solo nome: Totò Schillaci. Forza Totò!
